A.A travel plan. | B.A spelling mistake. | C.The woman’s hometown |
I guess everyone would like to set off for a journey with someone we can understand and have fun with. Travelling with a companion(同伴) is great!
It’s good to have someone with you who can watch your backpack when you want to use the toilet, find the way back home when you get lost, carry some of your luggage when you’re tired, take some photos of you when you want and help you in all kinds of situations. The feeling of having someone by your side makes you feel less stressful about many things.
With a companion you can together share the beautiful moments during the travels, experience the same things in a different way and support each other. It’s much more interesting and exciting when you have the chance to share something with someone while on your road. Meanwhile, there is always someone whom you can shout at when you are angry, or a shoulder on which you can cry when you miss your home.
A companion can share the costs with you. You can stay in one room, buy a dinner, have it together and share the bill, etc. It’s good to travel with someone who has the same or similar pattern of payment as you so you can support each other without having any arguments.
Having a companion by your side when travelling means less loneliness. You don’t think about it unless you get left in the middle of nowhere, far away from your friends and family. Then you wish to have someone with you.
In short, travelling with someone is the best choice for people who are short of travel experience. We might sometimes feel like being on our own and enjoy the sights with nobody behind our back but at the end of the day you have much more fun when being with someone, especially for a long run.
4 . Here is an interview between Noah Matt, a blogger and Dan, who has very low vision and is almost blind.
N: Hi Dan! Please let us know about yourself!
D: I’m 31 from Canada. At the age of seven, I was hurt in the back of the head by a boy, leaving me blind in my left eye. In 2008, my right eye started to go red and the doctor told me that it would also be blind later.
N: Where does your passion for travel come from?
D: Both of my parents are travel lovers and I am greatly influenced by them. What’s more, besides my family, I travel for the people. I know people are curious about my travels and I love sharing my stories with them.
N: Being unable to see, you have to face many difficulties. How do you manage to overcome them? Do you always have someone with you?
D: My travel is nothing different from most other travellers’, just slower. Usually help is available but I’m unwilling to accept it and I try my hardest to direct myself. For example, I use an iPhone to take a photo of the train times and then make it larger. Thus, I can move at my own pace.
N: What will be your next destination?
D: I don’t know what my next destination will be after this trip in Europe is over. I’m really interested in Australia, New Zealand, and South America. But to tell you the truth, I think it’s time for me to get around to explore my own country. It’s really a pity that Canadians travel the world because traveling in our own country is so hard and expensive.

5 . Thanks to the hard work of companies like California-based Orbital Assembly Corporation (OAC), space tourism is well on its way to coming true. Now, the company is working to offer a chance for space visitors to “get out of the world” by checking into the world’s first true hotel in low Earth orbit (轨道).
The 650-foot-wide Ferris-wheel-like Voyager Space Station (VSS) will be made up of two rings connected together. The inside circle will be fitted with spacecraft stations for guests while the outside ring will house the rooms, restaurants, bars, gyms, and scientific research labs. The hotel powered by the sun will travel at high speeds to create artificial gravity (人造重力), providing tourists a comfortable stay. When completed, it will have rooms for up to 400 people.
While the idea is attractive, making VSS a reality will take time and money. The team is now building a smaller prototype (雏形) ring. Once finished, OAC engineers will attempt to create artificial gravity. Transporting the VSS to space will cost thousands of millions of dollars. However, OAC believes that they will recoup the money by asking $5 million per person for each 3-day stay. Though the cost may seem too high, it is cheap compared to the 55 million it costs to stay on the ISS (International Space Station). Besides, guests at the Voyager Station will be living in the greatest conditions.
“You’re going to have the top cooks making really good food,’’ Orbital CEO John Blincow told the Washington Post. “There’ll be two shows every night as well.” Visitors will also be able to take part in the activities that are not possible on Earth such as spacewalks which allows visitors to admire views of Earth and space.
If everything goes according to plan, the company plans to start work in 2026 and welcome the first visitors in 2027. “If you are eager to be among the first, you can pay an amount of money to save your place ahead of time,” added John Blincow.

8 . Malaysia, in Southeast Asia, is a great combination of history and modernization, and is a great tourist spot. The place is a cultural mixing bowl of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous customs and heritage, and while for most people, the name Malaysia only brings pictures of Kuala Lumpur, there is a lot more to it. Let us take a look at some best places to visit in Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur
The capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, is a common favourite. Unlike most of the cities in the world, it is more than where the visitor lands and then goes off to other places, because Kuala Lumpur itself offers a lot. The beautiful skyline, adorned by Menara KL Tower and Petronas Tower, is a must-see. The Perdana Lake Gardens is another great sight. Excellent transport system is ready to help explore the city sights. The cuisine is a must-try, what with the mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian influence.
Penang
Penang is one of the best places to visit in Malaysia. This big island on the west coast of Malaysia is one that the country is proud of, and for valid reasons. For one, its historic capital city, George Town, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, what with its landmark homes, fort, temples and museums. Penang offers an excellent spread, including some incredible street food. Some of the best treats and tastes are available at the food joints lining the waterfront esplanade named Gurney Drive.
Selangor
Selangor defines the most developed and populated states of Malaysia, closely following the urban sprawl of Kuala Lumpur. It has the National Zoo of Malaysia and a Formula One racetrack. There are theme parks including indoor snow parks frequented by hordes of travelers. It is a hot shopping zone, and the country's gambling capital, Gentling Highlands. Contrarily, there are the Batu Caves with Hindu shrines. Along the river in Kuala Selangor, one can see the exotic abundance of fireflies.
Malaysian Borneo
In contrast to the bright lights and concrete of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Borneo offers an abundance of green rain-forests and wildlife. It is the third largest island in the world and definitely one of the best places to visit in Malaysia. It often goes forgotten by those who stay fascinated by the mainland. But one must not miss Borneo's repertoire of natural wonders. Only a short, cheap flight away lies the options of scuba diving in Sabah, caving in Sarawak, and the many other adventures.

10 . BE A GOOD TOURIST
Tourism can be both good and bad.
One growing problem is tourists who want to prove that they have visited a destination. Tourists have used paint, rocks, or even keys to write on the Luxor Temple in Egypt, the Colosseum in Rome, Stonehenge in the UK, memorial stones at the bottom of Qomolangma, and many, many other places. Thousands of tourists sites are being destroyed by tourists who “love them to death”.
The number of problems from tourists is endless: walking in large groups without considering others who need to walk by, crossing roads without observing local traffic laws, and many more. The only way to solve the issue of the terrible tourist is to make sure that you are not one!
