3 . If you really want a taste of the everyday swing of Dutch life, a bike tour through Amsterdam is the way to go.
What is included in an Amsterdam bike tour
The bicycle is of course provided and included in the price of the tour. Some tours offer coffee and tea after the tour finishes. Every tour especially has its own theme and route. You can compare them by visiting webpages dedicated to a particular tour.
Amsterdam bicycle tour basics
These tours are usually between one and two hours long. They are guided by friendly and knowledgeable tour guides who are well capable in human interactions and Amsterdam information. What’s more, the tour guides usually know multiple languages and are used to overcoming communications barriers.
In case of bad weather
If it rains, no worries, you can choose to cancel your tour free of charge. This applies of course also in case of other bad weather or in case you simply don’t feel like taking the tour. The cancellation is easy, without question, and free.
Important during the bicycle tour of Amsterdam
Please don’t become so Dutch that you also regard the traffic laws. It is a fact that some Amsterdammers often cross a street or a bridge when they feel like doing it. That is why staying, alert and a little bit of biking experience can help you to navigate through the small city streets during an Amsterdam bike tour. Also, unless you are 100% sure that the weather will be plenty sunny, you’d better bring a jacket. When you start moving on the bike, the humid Amsterdam’s air can get quite cold.

8 . Follow this four-day route, and you’ll lose yourself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
Day 1 Overview Edinburgh
It was in Scotland’s capital city that J. K. Rowling started to plot the adventures of Harry and his pals. With stoned streets, winding alleys and medieval (中世纪的) architecture, the city certainly has a few things in common with the settings from the books and films. She wrote the early chapters in various cafes around the city’s Old Towns.
Day 2 Overview travel to Fort William
Travel by train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. From there, you can take the West Highland Line toFort William. This is a great way to see some famous spots from the window, including the mysterious Rannoch Moor, the place where Death Eaters board the train in the movie Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
Day 3 Overview all aboard the Hogwarts Express
Witness the sweeping cinematic scenery of the movie Harry Potter by booking a seat on the Jacobite Steam Train. Stop for lunch in Mallaig and then make the return journey to Fort William. Please be sure to book the steam train in advance, as it is exceedingly popular. By the way, it runs seasonally.
Day 4 Overview lakes and glens (峡谷)
In the films, mysterious, misty landscapes frame the background of Harry’s tale, so it’s no surprise that the film producers chose the Highlands for many scenes. Spend a day wandering through some of these beautiful spots and feel the magical atmosphere.

9 . Montreal has a unique culture, with its mixture of French and English. If you want to visit one of the best cities in North America, this is the place for you.
The French
Most places in Canada are English-speaking, but Montreal is different. It is a city run by the French and for the French. If you want to work there, you have to speak French. The French and the English generally stay apart from each other. Most of the English can’t speak French and don’t want to learn; most of the French don’t like to speak English. However, it is this “conflict” of cultures that makes Montreal interesting.
Food
The best and unique Canadian food comes from the French. For example, you can find “poutine” - a tasty quick snack. This French invention is my personal favorite, although I must warn you that it isn’t for everyone. The best way to experience poutine is to go north of Montreal to one of the ski resorts. Spend all day skiing. Then, when your body aches all over, go to a mountain bar with friends and have a hot chocolate and a plate of poutine. You will understand why it’s the best food in the world.
Music & Cinema
Montreal is also great for music. There’s a famous jazz festival in the summer. You need a pass for most of the shows, which are usually performed outdoors during the day and night. But wherever you are in Montreal, you can hear the music while you are walking in the streets.
