It’s reported that China on Tuesday     1     (official) announced the first group of national parks—the Three-River-Source National Park, the Giant Panda National Park, the Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park, the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, and the Wuyishan National Park. The national parks refer to special areas put under protection with     2     aim of conserving the ecosystem and natural resources. The announcement is a practical move related to the drive to continuously promote the building of an ecological civilization.

Home to     3     (vary) key wildlife species in China, the Wuyishan National Park appeals     4     tourists both at home and abroad. It features rich diversity due to     5     (it) unique natural environment. Taking a bamboo raft tour is people’s favourite. It was a short flight    1     Shanghai to Xi’an. Most visitors make their way to Xi’an to see the life-size terracotta warriors(兵马俑)and we were not     5     (difference) at all. During my recent travels in China, I went from the top to the bottom of the country. I was astonished at     1    different the weather was in different cities.

The weather was    2     (extreme) cold in Harbin, but felt much warmer in Shanghai, Guilin, Qingdao and Yangshuo. Each city has a different feel and allows you    3     (experience) different things.

In Qingdao, we ate seafood,     4     (drink) beer and swam in the sea. In Harbin, we wore our warmest jackets and saw the    5     (amaze) ice and snow sculptures. Shanghai reminded me    6    a city in Europe or America. There were lots of Western cafes there. Guilin was a good place to be touring around during the Spring Festival. Fireworks filled the sky and the streets were filled with happy people.
