Venice—The Risk of the Disappearance of an Entire City

On the Old Silk Road

I set off on my dream journey from London to Beijing in the peaceful days of 2019. Travelling overland, I wanted to experience the transitions between cultures, to see the legacy of exchange along the Silk Road trade routes    1    once connected China with the west.
