1 . Travelling with friends can be an amazing experience where you could make lifelong memories or it could ruin your friendship.
Communicate and respect each other. Everyone has personal preferences when travelling— from getting the bed closest to the bathroom or sitting in the airplane’s window seat. But sometimes things don’t go as you like. In this case, share your requirements directly with your travel companions.
Don’t disappear. When travelling with a group — or even just one other person — you may want some alone time. That’s completely fine, but make sure your friends know where you are and have a way of contacting you.
Get off your phone. Of course, your friends will understand if you need to take a call from a family member, or in the event of a work emergency, but other than that, try to stay off your phone.
A.Give each other some space. |
B.Include at least one activity for everyone. |
C.So it’s important to make sure you and your friend(s) are on the same page. |
D.At the same time, listen to their concerns and be respectful of them. |
E.Don’t respond to less important work contact or send messages frequently. |
F.It’s especially true of travelling in foreign countries or unfamiliar places. |
G.And remember that consideration and respect go a long way. |

9 . Are you thinking about traveling alone? You must have a million questions: Where should you go? Will there be someone to talk to?
In fact, traveling alone is not as scary (吓人的) as it seems. Here are some good tips.
Choose a place where you feel comfortable and safe
Truth be told, traveling alone for the first time is more about the experience than the destination.
Make a plan
Always make a plan. That way you’ll avoid worrying too much over where you’re staying, what to see and how you’re getting from A to B.
Book hotels ahead of time
Talk to people
If you’re going to a touristy place like Thailand, there are lots of other people who are traveling alone.
Let someone know where you are
Your family and friends love you and probably worry about you every day, so text them and let them know what you are up to throughout your trip.
A.How do you stay safe? |
B.Don’t draw attention to yourself. |
C.That will make you and them feel safer. |
D.The first thing you need to do is believe in yourself. |
E.So make sure to choose a place that you feel comfortable with. |
F.Most likely, they’ll be easy to talk to and they’ll want to communicate. |
G.This can make you less nervous when you’re traveling alone for the first time. |
10 . Tips for Green Travel with Kids
Traveling doesn’t mean letting go of all the eco-friendly choices we work so hard to achieve in our daily life. Here are a few tips for green travel with kids:
Booking nonstop flights whenever possible will reduce carbon emissions (碳排放). If the closest local airport doesn’t have nonstop flights to a certain place, check in with other local airports to see if nonstop flights are available.
Whether you’re flying or driving, it’s easy when traveling to pull into fast food restaurants for snacks.
Reusable water bottles are easy to bring along whenever you travel. At the airport, keep your reusable bottles empty until you have passed through the security (安检).
A.Too much carbon emissions seriously pollute the environment. |
B.But you can pack healthy food before starting off. |
C.In this way, you can save water and energy. |
D.Fill them up on the other side of the security checkpoint. |
E.Security check is a necessary part of each trip. |
F.Save energy by turning off the hotel room lights when you head out for the day. |
G.You might have to drive a bit further, but saving on carbon emissions makes it worthwhile. |
