2 . Accessible Adventures Near Global Airports
Adventure doesn’t have to mean inaccessible destinations. You may try one of these outdoor experiences. They’re all reasonably close to an airport, so your destinations are easy to reach.
Camp by Boat on California’s Anacapa Island
Airport: Los Angeles International Airport
Trips to Anacapa Island can be arranged year-round, and the rocky shores are popular places for camping and bird watching. This is truly remote, though—there are no goods, services, or accommodations on the island, so be prepared to be fully self-sufficient when you take a boat at the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, just north of Los Angeles. From Los Angeles International Airport, you can take a bus for the scenic trip to the harbor.
Ski Snowy Slopes(斜坡)Just Outside Tokyo
Airport: Tokyo International Airport or Narita International Airport
It’s easy to find adventure just minutes after arriving in Japan, a country known for its bullet trains and efficient transportation. Make your way from either airport to Tokyo Station, and you’ll be just an hour and a half away from the snow-packed slopes of Gala Yuzawa.
Getting to the popular ski slopes is simple. It’s served by the bullet-train station, and you can buy tickets and rent equipment only a few steps from the stop. Gala Yuzawa can be crowded, but it also has everything you need for a winter adventure.
Ride the Great Southern Rail from Adelaide to Darwin
Airports: Adelaide Airport and Darwin International Airport
See the red soil of Australia on The Ghan, a train line that stretches from Adelaide to Darwin. This interstate passenger train follows the route of ancient camel drivers and provides out-of-this-world views. The train trip takes three or four days without any stops.
Both the initial and final train stations on this route are close to airports—Adelaide Parklands Terminal is just about 5 kilometers from Adelaide Airport and Darwin Railway Station is about 16 kilometers from Darwin International Airport.

3 . Tokyo is one of those places that you can love and hate at the same time.
In Tokyo there are always too many people in the places where I want to be. Of course there are too many cars. The Japanese drive very fast, but in Tokyo they often spend a long time in traffic jams. Tokyo is not different from London, Paris or New York in that. It is different when one wants to walk.
At certain times of the day there are a lot of people on foot in London Oxford Street. But the streets near the Ginze in Tokyo are always crowded with a lot of people on foot, and sometimes it is really difficult to walk. People are very polite; there are just too many of them.
The worst time to be in the street is at 11:30 at night. That is when the nightclubs are closing and everybody wants to go home. There are 35,000 nightclubs in Tokyo, and you do not often see one that is empty.
During the day, most people go to work by train. Tokyo people buy six million train tickets every day. At most stations, trains arrive every two or three minutes, but at certain hours there do not seem to be enough trains. Although they are usually crowded, Japanese trains are very good. They always leave and arrive on time. On a London train you would see everybody reading a newspaper. In Tokyo trains everybody in a seat seems to be asleep, whether his journey is long or short.
In Tokyo, I stand outside the station for five minutes. Three fire engines(消防车) race past on the way to one of the many fires that Tokyo has every day. Tokyo has so many surprises that none of them can really surprise me now.

9 . Tourism wasn’t as important as it is today. In the past, only people with a good deal of money could travel on holidays to other countries. More people travel today than in the past because there is a growing middle class in many parts of the world; that is to say, people now have more money for travel. Special plane fares for tourists make travel less expensive and more attractive than ever before. One person doesn’t travel for the same reason as another. But most people enjoy seeing countries that are different from their own. They also like to meet new people and to taste new food.
Tourism causes many changes in a country and in people’s lives. People build new hotels and restaurants and train native men and women as guides to show visitors around interesting places. There’re new night clubs and other amusements. International tourism is clearly a big business.
