Il Paluffo, Italy
It’s a collection of luxurious small villas (别墅) within a restored 15th-century building, powered by renewable energy, amid the rolling Chianti Hills. From the natural pool you can be bathed in the sunshine while admiring views. The main villa has four elegant double rooms, while four apartments each sleep four to six people and come with their own private gardens.

The owners can help plan your journey by train and offer a free transfer (接送) to and from local railway stations.
Le Mas de Saribou, France
Swing in the hammock (吊床) by the splendid natural pool with views of mountain peaks at this four-room eco villa in south-eastern France. The kids will love exploring the gardens where you search for vegetables, fruit, and flowers for your dinner. Solar panels supply the electricity and a grass roof and thick walls keep you cool inside from the summer heat.
Muxima, Portugal
It’s an African-inspired retreat. The solar-powered seven guest rooms here are close to some spectacular sandy and surf-friendly beaches along the Vicentina coast. Warrumbungle National Park
Situated in the central west slopes of New South Wales is Australia’s only dark sky park, Warrumbungle. The park has served as a dark sky park since July 2016. Its crystal-clear night skies and high altitude (海拔) make it a natural, educational and astronomical heritage site in the southern half of the earth. Tourists can use Australia’s largest optical telescope within the park boundaries to view the auroras (极光), the Milky Way and faint shooting stars.
Sark
Sark is a Channel Island near the coast of Normandy under the protection of the UK. It was the World’s First Dark Sky Island set up in January 2011. Its historical and cultural blend (交融) attracts over 40,000 tourists annually. With no motor vehicles and public lighting on the island, there is an exceptional view of the dark skies. A rich Milky Way is visible in the dark night skies from the shores of the island.
Pic du Midi de Bigorre
Pic du Midi de Bigorre in France was designated as a dark sky park in December 2013 making it the second largest dark sky park in the world. The park covers 3,112 square kilometres spread across the Pyrenees National Park and UNESCO’s World Heritage site, Pyrenees-Mont Perdu. The park attracts over one hundred star watchers every year. The Observatory Midi-Pyrenees, which was built in 1870,is one of the world’s highest museums at a height of 2,877 metres above sea level.

Fun fact
Over 50 historic buildings from across the Weald and Downland area have been dismantled(拆除)and then reconstructed across a lovely 40-acre site in the South Downs national park. The collection of buildings represents almost a thousand years of rural life in south-east England: furnished just as they would have been in the past—complete with the homes, farms and public buildings. There’s a sense of exploring a real village as you wander between them along green paths, stopping to climb the stairs of a 17th-century craftsman’s(工匠)cottage to lie on the straw bed or sheltering from a shower in a smoky, 14th-century hall.
Getting there
The Stagecoach 60 bus service from Chichester to Midhurst stops just five minutes away at Grooms Yard, Singleton. The nearest railway stations are Chichester(2 miles)and Haslemere(7 miles). The museum is on Town Lane in Singleton, reached via the A286 from Chichester to Midhurst. Parking is free and there are disabled parking spaces opposite the museum shop.

More problems
But only time will tell whether this project is the right solution. The important thing is that action is being taken
Last summer vacation, I decided to visit my best friend in Barcelona. Aline sent me a screenshot (屏幕截图) of the ticket she was about to buy for me, from Saturday to Wednesday. I approved of the selection, she bought it, and I packed. The next day I headed to the airport, a little later than planned.
When I got to the airport with only my carry-on bag, it was 35 minutes before the gate closed. I headed directly to the security checkpoint. The electronic machine marked a big fat red × and told me to see an airline official. I did what I was told to do and stood in line at the airline counter (柜台), while one of the only two ladies available left. My heart was racing as I kept looking at the clock. A man, loud and rude, arrived with an airport employee and cut ahead, shouting at the lady and taking 10 minutes of my precious time.
By the time I arrived at the counter it was 8:02 and the gate closed at 8:05. The lady asked me what was wrong, and I told her. She then scanned (扫描) my ticket and told me the problem was that the gate had closed. I complained and told her I had arrived earlier.
“Where were you then?”
“In line, waiting for you.”
She didn’t say anything else, except to help change my ticket. I didn’t panic; instead I went into action mode. I searched for other flights. Just one flight would leave in 35 minutes. I was already at the airport, so I bought the ticket. I then tried to check in: check-in closes 40 minutes before the flight.
I took a deep breath, stopped running around, grabbed a taxi home, and bought my third ticket from Sunday to Sunday, extending my stay.
