Yesterday we visited Central Park,     1    urban park in Manhattan, New York City, which is one of the     2    (splendid) city parks I have seen. As a famous park in the United States, millions of visitors     3    (pay) a visit to it up to now. And there is a     4    (tend) that more and more visitors will be attracted. It is     5    (probable) two and one-half miles long and over one-half mile in width. Therefore    6    (take) a carriage ride through the park would be a good choice. My mom enjoyed looking at all the     7    (appeal) sculptures in the park.    8    contrast, Dad liked the free traditional music concert in one of the small pavilions. In the afternoon, we took a ferry to see the famous Statue of Liberty,    9    stands in New York Harbor. Our guide said this 151-foot copper (铜) statue     10    (give) to the United States by France in 1884 to represent the friendship and freedom both countries share.

Decide how much money you can spend on a trip. You don’t need to be rich to travel, but knowing how much money you have will likely shape all other aspects of your trip.    1    Where you go, how you get there, where you stay may all rely on how much you have to spend.

    2    If you are working, check how much vacation time you have saved up. Check your calendar for any important dates—you might need to push your trip back a few days so you won’t miss your grandpa’s 100th birthday.

Make travel arrangements. There are dozens of websites you can use to search for suitable flights all over the world. Try the airlines’ direct websites.    3    

Book your accommodations. From hostels to luxury (奢侈)hotels, treehouses, and campgrounds, there are tons of choices when it comes to deciding where to stay.    4    If you want to meet other travelers and don’t mind sharing a bathroom, a hostel maybe a good choice.

Go to the doctor and get vaccinated(接种疫苗).    5    Some countries require proof of certain vaccinations to enter the country. Your doctor can give you an International Certificate of Vaccination.
