The City of Light draws visitors from around the globe who come to see attractions like the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre. Get lost wandering along the attractive stone streets, or relax on the banks of the Seine for hours. If you’re up for a quick day trip, head about 15 miles southwest of the city center to the Palace of Versailles, which offers guided and self-guided tours of the palace. The best time to visit Paris is from June to August and September to October.

London

London is home to a number of historical landmarks and modern-day attractions. If it’s your first time in London, plan to see the top attractions, such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the British Museum, before sitting down to a classic afternoon tea or checking out a local pub. The best time to visit London is March through May when the temperatures are mild and the city’s parks are green.

Dubai

This Middle Eastern city is filled with some of the world’s most notable and unique attractions, including the Dubai Mall, indoor Ski Dubai and Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on the planet. But the city still holds onto its heritage, as seen in the Bastakiya Quarter and the traditional Gold and Spice (香料) markets. The best time to visit Dubai is from November to March.

Tokyo

Tokyo has an electric energy and plenty of attractions to discover. Foodies won’t be let down by the city’s unique fresh sushi and tasty seafood. Photographers will love taking in the sweeping panoramas (全景) from the top of the Tokyo Skytree. Those who love to shop will find plenty of must-have designer products in Ginza. The best time to visit Tokyo is between March and April and September and November.

I’ve had my fair share of travelling around China, and a recent week-long trip to Guizhou was my first time to the province. It was     1     true learning experience.

I tried looking up meaning of the name Guizhou in the dictionary     2     advance, basically to have a reasonable idea of what is waiting for me.     3     that was a hard task, so I asked from a Chinese colleague among a group of local and foreign     4     (reporter) on the trip. From what she said, the province was named after a famous mountain called “Gui” and “zhou”, which     5     (simple) means province in Chinese.

Our trip began in Zunyi city, which enjoys great popularity among Chinese for the famous ‘Zunyi Conference’. Yet not much     6     (know) about this famous conference in Africa and the western world even today, but obviously it was at this place     7     China’s first leader and Chairman was elected.

The following journey was mind blowing as I went on to explore Anshun, a place that never fails     8     (attract) every visitor with its largest waterfall in Asia. I     9     (dream) of this place for a long time and am more than thrilled to witness the breathtaking views, which leave first-time visitors like me     10     (impress).

4 . Special Museums In Christchurch, New Zealand

Yaldhurst Museum

Yaldhurst Museum is a place for car lovers in Christchurch city, which displays classic cars over a span of a century. The small museum has a collection of the widest range of car models from horse model to buggy cars.

Open Time: Wednesday—Sunday 10 a. m. -5 p. m. with the last entry(进入) of 4 p. m.

Entrance fee: $10 for students, $20 for adults.

The Toy Collector

The Toy Collector is a new player in the museums in Christchurch. Born recently in 2016, the Toy Collector is for all toy lovers displaying a huge collection of toys from all ages. The place is not big, so you can trip down your memory in just an hour.

Open Time: Every day from 10 a. m. -4 p. m.

Entrance Fee: $20 for an adult, $5 for children.

The Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities

Come and explore the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities, where you can see more than three thousand years of human history through an amazing collection of artifacts from Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Near Eastern cultures. Born in 2017, this small one-roomed museum is a new home for old objects.

Open Time: Wed - Sun from 11 a. m. -3 p. m.

Entrance Fee: Free to enter.

Rutherford’s Den

Rutherford’s Den is a historic space for the country’s most famous scientist—Ernest Rutherford, also known as the father of Nuclear Science. Opened in Christchurch Arts Center in 2016, it is a small interactive museum with collections of Rutherford’s works, such as TV, radio and even telephones.

Open time: 10 a. m. -5 p. m., every day except for Christmas Day.

Entrance Fee: $10 for adults，$5 for students and children.

It was a short flight from Shanghai to Xi’an. Xi’an is one of the four great ancient capitals of China with a history of over 3,100 years. Dating from the Ming Dynasty,     1    (it) ancient walls are the best preserved in the world. There are bicycles for people to hire. It is     2    (amaze) to ride along the walls to survey this fascinating city.

The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance show     3    (be) not to be missed, but my favorite is     4     art gallery, where we can enjoy some beautiful artwork and learn how to write Chinese characters.

Most visitors make their way     5     Xi’an to see the life-size terracotta warriors (兵马俑) and we were not different at all. The collection,     6     shows the armies of the first Emperor of China, remained hidden until 1974 when they     7     (discovery) by a farmer digging a well.     8     (walk) among the statues is forbidden unless you are a VIP — but there are plenty of souvenir     9    (shop) in which tourists can buy the replicas (复制品) of them.

All too soon it was time to leave. I     10     (true) enjoyed my stay in Xi’an. It is indeed a place of interest worth a second visit.

9 . Paris is one of the most-visited destinations in the world. A relaxing trip to Paris takes a little bit of planning. Here are some tips for you to make your trip smooth.

Have a passport for international travel. A passport costs $110 and takes 6-8weeks to arrive after you apply.

The cheapest month to fly is March, especially if you can leave on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. You’ll save even more money by booking around 90 days in advance. In the summer months, tickets will be more expensive no matter when you book.

●Visit the Eiffel Tower

At present, the Notre Dame Cathedral is closed to tourists due to the fire that destroyed parts of the cathedral. However, you can still visit the outside of the cathedral.

● Go to the Louvre to see world-famous art

The Louvre hosts the Mona Lisa along with 35, 000 other pieces of art. If you’re pressed for time, visit the highlights. The Louvre costs €15 at the museum or €17 in advance (to skip most of the line).

● Take a day trip to Versailles

If you have a day to spare, head to the palace of Versailles, around 14 miles southwest of the city. Take a tour to see King Louis XVI’s palace and gardens. It costs €20 to visit the palace and grounds.
