A composting (堆肥) program at The Wesley School in Los Angeles is helping students get hands-on experience and ways     1     (handle) human-driven climate change. For the past year, all the leftover food waste from the school has gone into composting containers rather than a landfill     2     it would be buried and would produce planet-warming gases.

A new record-high number of black-necked cranes, a species under first-class state     1     (protect) in Southwest China’s Yunnan province     2    (monitor) during the wintering period, since the Yunnan Dashanbao National Nature Reserve was established in 1990. A miniature black horse with     1     white nose ran into a room in Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital.
