The Double Seventh Festival, also know as the Qiqiao Festival, is the most romantic traditional Chinese festival. It falls annual on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. The festival came from a ancient Chinese romantic fairy tale about the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, who has deeply moved generation of Chinese people. Many men and women in the love usually pray for a happy marriage on that night, hoping for a happy ending to his true love. Today, many young couples in China celebrate the Double Seventh Festival in Chinese Valentine’s Day.

Few days before the festival, houses are cleaned and red couplets are stick. We put on our fancy clothes and setted off firecrackers during the festival. Beside, presents and big dinners are prepared for to celebrate the happy reunion of family and relative. They have dumplings and enjoy the Spring Festival Gala on Lunar New Year’s Eve. I remember that I love reading and creating fairy stories in my childhood. I spent many evening in my room alone writing stories. I lived in them and could almost see which I was writing about. Once, I was shocking when my mom went into my room all of sudden. After that, she was always knocked at the door softly to avoid disturb me. When we moved to a new home a few years before, I put my old writings in a box. I treasure those stories, because they show that I had a wonderful imagine as a kid. I am fond of wild animals, which existence makes our world lively and colorfully. However, many wild animals in nature are in the danger. It is believed that human beings mainly lead the terrible problem. Thanks to many governments’ and organizations’ efforts, much attention from the world are paid to the protection of wild animals. As a member of human beings, I am sure willing to protect the wildlife. So far, I had launched two activities to show the public the great achievements make in the protection of the wildlife.
