Visits to Red tourism attractions are expected to rise this year as the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrates the 100th anniversary of     1     (it) founding. Their increasing popularity will not only     2     (strength) people’s knowledge of CPC history, but also bring significant economic     3     (benefit).

    4     (recognize) as one of the most important revolutionary bases in China, Yan’an is home to 445 memorial sites. The city’s Red tourism market     5     (receive) 1.6 million visitors and recorded nearly 1.5 billion yuan during the past national day holiday.

“I’m quite lucky that I was born after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, but I never forget what my father told me about their hard life in the war,” Zhao Yanping, a 67-year-old visitor from Zhejiang province, said. “He told me to be grateful to the CPC, without it we could not live such     6     good life nowadays.”

Yang Guangyuan, director of Yan’an’s publicity department, mentioned the     7     (big) attraction of Yan’an is the spirit,     8     has been passed down by generations of CPC members. “In the past 100 years, the CPC     9     (grow) from weak to strong, leading China’s revolution to get out of difficulty.” he said. The city now has its traditions well protected while looking forward to     10     (build) an energetic future.

It all began with a bat, which is so ugly that nobody likes it. And it is always dreaming of     1    (have) no interaction with human beings.     2    , humans who have always been at the top of the food chain have become     3    (tire) of eating chicken, ducks, and sheep for thousands of years. As     4    result, they start killing and     5    (eat) wild animals,    6     has finally brought the revenge of nature. In 2003,     7    was an outbreak of SARS, which infected more than 8,000 people in 27 countries within 5 months, killing more than 800. Tens of thousands of medical     8    (work) led by Prof. Zhong Nanshan fought for more than half a year to     9    (effective) get the SARS outbreak under control. Civets(果子狸), which     10    (sell)in Guangdong’s wildlife markets, were direct source of the SARS infection. 17 years later, the greed of human beings is once again the key to the door of devils.

Jiuzhaigou Ravine (沟壑)

Three years ago I had     1    amazing trip to Jiuzhaigou. Located in Nanping County, Jiuzhaigou Ravine stretches 80 kilometers and has various     2    (appeal) scenic spots, among     3    , the Zhuzheng Scenic Spot is one of the central points of Jiuzhaigou's landscape. The lakes here vary     4     color according to their depths and scenery around them. Reed Lake is an ideal habitat of birds; Spark Lake appears to move     5     the jade-lake Rhinoceros Lake is a good place for rowing, swimming and rafting. There are also the Shuzheng Waterfalls which have a backdrop of trees.

The Sword-shaped Rock Scenic Area     6    (consist) of Goose Lake, Suspended Springs, Sword Rock, snow-covered mountains and primeval (原始的) forests. Sometimes you can see giant pandas. There is also the 17. 8-kilometer-long Zechawa Ravine, the longest and     7    (height) in Jiuzhaigou. At the end of it is the eight-kilometer-long Changhai Lake, the largest in the area. In Haizi there is Five-Color Pond, the brightest lake in Jiuzhaigou.

    8    (doubt), the magnificent view in Jiuzhaigou will make you reluctant (不情愿的) to leave, and don't forget that the autumn is the best season     9    (visit) it. Since it's well worth visiting,     10    (give) another chance, I'd like to go there once again.
