Several deep-sea fish have been mysteriously washed up on California’s beaches this year, leaving marine biologists     1    .

Although many people think it is a modern phenomenon, distance learning has been around for at least 200 years in one form or another.

When comparing the two systems, the first and most obvious area to focus on is the way that learning is delivered.
