The state of our parks is very shocking, with rubbish everywhere.     2    . I used to find a trip to the park very relaxing. Upon the arrival of spring, beautiful birds would sing happily in the park. I enjoyed this very much. However, now I just find it tiring because    3    .我不得不捡拾垃圾 where I am going to sit. The grass is covered in plastic bags and food.    4    .我很难过 that the young people of today do not clean up after themselves before they leave the park.     5    . There are so many interesting animals and insects living in our parks. It would be a shame if they were destroyed because of people's activities there.

From our recent survey of students, we have found that 53 percent of the students often play sports.     1    The most popular sport is basketball, which is played by 45 percent of the students. This is followed by football, which 40 percent of the students often play.     2    一小部分学生做其他运动，比如乒乓球。

We want to give the students more chances to get into shape by playing sports. For this reason, we suggest that we organize a school basketball tournament     3    since basketball is the most popular sport in school. Each class would have its own basketball team and should practise several afternoons a week. Then on sports day,     4    班级间可以互相比赛。 We could offer awards to the winning team and the most enthusiastic players.     5    This would be a good way to build the school spirit with an activity that many students enjoy.

The target audience is high-school teenagers.     1     我们的目标是劝阻年轻人不要吸烟。Our research shows that young people care about their health and future.     2     We will educate them about the bad physical effects of smoking and how smoking affects those people around them.     3    我们将解释不吸烟的所有好处, such as saving money which can then be spent on other things. Our interviews also indicate that young people are concerned about what is cool and what their friends like.     4     We will show how smoking is not cool or attractive, because it makes people smell terrible, and gives them bad teeth, skin and fingernails. If we can convince young people not to start,     5     they might then urge their parents and other people to give up smoking, too.

You’re right.     2     We shouldn’t be embarrassed about our weight. I think you look great as you are, and you are a wonderful person. I know that the pressure to stay slim is a problem, especially for an actress. However, your mother knows best:     3     没有什么比健康更重要。

It’s the same in China —    4     many people are always going on a diet or taking weight-loss pills, which are often dangerous.     5     我希望他们能从你的故事中吸取教训。
