The summer I turned 16, I decided to help support my family. Therefore, I told my father that I was going to factory     1    (get) a job. He immediately said, “You need to pack your lunch.” I said to     2     (my), “Why do I need a lunch? We live so close to the factory.” But I said nothing. Instead, I packed my lunch, and took it     3     me.

    4     I arrived at the factory at 6 a. m, 15 men had already been sitting on a bench,     5    (wait) to get a job. Then one of the company's trucks pulled up, and the person in charge of hiring     6    (quick) came out of the front office. He looked at everybody and said, “Who has lunch?” I was     7     last person on that long bench, and I raised my hand. He said, “You're hired. Get in that truck, and go with these men.” It was until then that I realized that my father had     8    (prepare) me for getting the job. I turned out to be a very good     9    (work), and every summer, as soon as I walked into the employment office, I     10     (hire) immediately.
