1 . 请阅读下面内容,并按照要求用英语写一篇100词左右的一封信。

A teenager called Laura writes to you about her problem with her parents and asks you for advice. Read the part of her letter below.

Everyone says that youth is a time for adventure, but my parents disagree. I spend most of my spare time at home, because they hardly ever let me go out with my friends. When I do go out, they always ask, “Where are you going?” “Who are you going with?” “What are you going to do?” “When will you be back?” They’re always on my back about something.

I understand that they’re trying to protect me from getting hurt. However, just as a baby kangaroo must learn to protect itself when it leaves its mother’s pocket, I will have to learn to protect myself when I grow up. I wish they could be more flexible so that I can make my own choices about what to do in my spare time.

---Laura

2 . Most people present themselves in a favorable light on Facebook, Twitter, or WeChat, and there’s nothing wrong with that. “Facebook is a forum for highlighting your strengths and the good things that are happening in your life,” says psychologist, Phoenix Deerhawke.
When all you see on a friend’s page is cheerful posts and great photos, it may make you feel like your life doesn’t measure up. The practice has been called “fakebooking”, and it may affect you negatively. Indeed, in a study, sociologists found that among students who used Facebook, most agreed that their friends---even the ones they don’t know personally---were happier and had better lives.
If your time on Facebook makes you upset, you may need to change your perspective. “Facebook is like a movie trailer(预告片),” says Deerhawke. “You only see the best parts; your friends’ pages on Facebook, be mindful that they are least likely to post unpleasant stuff that is happening to them. After all, who wants to keep souvenirs of ---or take selfie on--- their worst days?

3 . 请阅读下面短文和图画,并按要求用英语写一篇150词左右的文章。
Dear Mom, Clear My Calendar
September is around the comer, and some of us are already complaining about summer's end. But parents have a special reason to do so. The end of summer means the start of school. And these days, planning a young child’s schedule is a big challenge. The challenge is no longer finding activities to fill a child's day; it is saying no to the hundreds of options available. Our mailbox is filled with brochures urging us to sign our kids up for classes from cooking to martial arts.

Educators are themselves discouraged by the number of special classes that many children attend. In the name of “enrichment”, three-year-olds not only go to preschool in the morning but study French or gymnastics after lunch. One teacher tells of a four-year-old asking for help in the toilet before hurrying off to tennis. Another teacher says that children sometimes hold on to her at pick up time. What happened to unstructured time?

4 . 阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。
Dear Ari,

As you sleep in my arms, I'm amazed at how light you feel. I stare at your tiny body, so fragile that a sudden wind could lift you up into the air. I love this feeling of protecting you and dreaming of all I have in store for you.

I intend to bring you up to be brave and successful in an often difficult society. That's why your mommy and I have named you Ari, which means "lion". It's our hope that you will grow strong and eagerly grasp every opportunity to do well for yourself and others.

Before you came into the world, we had spent months imagining what you'd be like. Would you be a boy or a girl? Would you look like Mommy, Daddy or your elder brothers? Anyway, we would find out soon.

Finally your mother's labor came. And several hours later, we met the first time. I held you high up in the air. I then was able to cut your umbilical cord (脐带) and put you in your mother's arms. She still had enough energy to radiate the love while she pressed you to her face.

And here we are tonight. As I hold you close, you sleep so peacefully. I press my ear to your chest and hear your strength. I am listening to the first beats of a lion's heart. Welcome to the world, Ari.

Love,

Daddy

5 . 1. Road rage (路怒症) includes various driver acts and types of behavior. Speeding or aggressive acceleration, cutting others, sounding the vehicle horm (喇叭), flashing lights excessively, making rude gestures, shouting verbal abuse, hitting another person, throwing objects outside the vehicle—all of these are considered road rage. About 100 million road rage incidents have been reported since January 2012.

2. Experienced drivers may well suffer road rage due to impatience caused by other drivers who may not be as skilled. If a person's job requires him/ her to be on the road a lot of the time, he/ she will encounter many more mistakes made by other drivers.
