The 22nd “Meet in Beijing” International Arts Festival     1     (greet) arts lovers in the capital with an Olympic theme as the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games approach.

As a major     2     (culture) event of the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, the arts festival will mix Olympic culture     3     arts from around the world. It will cover five major sections—performing arts, visual arts, film screening, urban events     4     Olympic celebration activities. The performing arts section will bring to stage around 100     5     (perform) from 22 counties and regions, both online and offline.

During summer vacation, I went on a three-day camping expedition (远足). We had to carry all of our own clothes and food, as well as tents, cooking pots and first aid kits(急救药箱).

On the first day, our instructor taught us how to read maps. It's not too difficult     1     (understand) maps, but walking with a 13-kg backpack under the burning sun     2    (be) not the most ideal situation. Each of us carried two liters of water to drink as well.

On the second day, we had to find our own way to the next campsite. I learned so much from this expedition—not just map reading skills,     10     also teamwork and how to deal with emergency situations. It pushed me to achieve something I never thought I could do and gave me important life skills.

All around the world, families celebrate special days together. Traditions for these days     1    (be) very different. Some of them may surprise you.

Families in most countries have a special day to celebrate mothers. In Serbia, this day is on     2     second Sunday before Christmas. A trip to a water park can be a fun adventure for families, couples or a group of friends. Whether you prefer relaxing in a tube on a lazy river or riding a water roller coaster, a trip to one of the nation's water parks offers something exciting to everyone. However, the fun does not come without risks. People who plan to go to a water park should be careful enough and follow rules to avoid these risks.

Drowning (溺水) is one of the greatest dangers in water parks, especially for young children. The ability to swim is the most important skill in a water park. Before you go to a water park, make sure that all the people in your group know how to swim well. Do not swim in water that does not have a lifeguard on the scene. Many parks provide life jackets for free - do prepare some in case some people need them.

People usually choose to go to water parks on clear sunny days, which means that they are easy to get sun burnt, or even get heatstroke. Most of the water parks are open areas with little shelter or few buildings to block the sun, so it can be dangerous for people who have fair and sensitive (敏感的) skin to spend a whole day there. Be sure to wear a hat and a shirt with sleeves over your bathing suit while you are walking around.

In rare cases, water park guests may be subjected to polluted water. Some illnesses are easily spread in such situation. The most common cause of water pollution is small children who are not old enough to go to the toilet. Water parks have been trying their best to avoid the spread of diseases. However, pollution is still possible. Guests can protect themselves by trying not to swallow any water and washing their hands after playing with shallow and still water.
