Qingming Festival is one of most important traditional festivals in China. It falls on April 4th or 5th, where most Chinese people enjoy a public holiday. Qingming Festival was also called Tomb Sweeping Day. It is the time for Chinese people to showing respect for their ancestors by cleaning their ancestors’ tombs and place offerings. In addition to, Qingming in Chinese means “clearness” or “brightness”. It is the fifth of the 24 solar term of the traditional Chinese solar calendar. Beside, it also marks the start of the warm weather of spring and the beginning of busily farming season.

As my mum’s birthday approached, I was considering give her a unique gift. Finally, I decided to make short video to celebrate her fifty birthday. To do this successful, I did short interviews with my other family members or her friends, in which they all wished her a happy birthday. I include their birthday wishes in the video. Then, I added some photo and music to it and did some editing work. All this was done without my knowledge. On the day when I played the video for her, she was too touched that she gave me a warm hug. How happy I was to bring about joy to my mum!

7 . New Year’s Concert 2021 with Riccardo Muti
The 2021 Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert took place on January 1, 2021, under the baton (指挥) of Riccardo Muti in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna. After 1993, 1997, 2000, 2004, and 2018, this year’s concert marked the 6th time that Riccardo Muti, whose close musical partnership with the Vienna Philharmonic has now extended about 50 years, had conducted the prestigious concert event.
The 2021 New Year’s Concert was broadcast in over 90 countries and followed by millions of television viewers around the world. The 2021 New Year’s Concert took place without an audience.
Due to ongoing high rates of infection, the Austrian Federal Government had decided that no concerts could be performed before audiences until January 6, 2021. Unfortunately, it also affected the Preview Performance on December 30, 2020, at 11 AM; the New Year’s Eve Concert on December 31, 2020, at 7:30 PM; and the New Year’s Concert on January 1, 2021, at 11:15 AM. We therefore refunded (退款) all paid tickets and kindly asked the ticket holders to contact us by e-mail.
Riccardo Muti has conducted the most important orchestras in the world, including the Vienna Philharmonic, an orchestra to which he is linked by particularly close and important ties, and with which he has appeared in Vienna and around the world since 1971.
The first New Year’s Concert took place during the darkest chapter of the history of Austria and that of the Vienna Philharmonic. On January 1, 1941, a Philharmonic matinee entitled “Johann Strauss Concert” was performed. Clemens Krauss conducted the concerts. In the years 1946 and 1947, Josef Krips (1902-1974) replaced Krauss, who returned in 1948 and conducted seven more New Year’s Concerts until 1954.
With the unexpected death of Clemens Krauss on May 16, 1954, the orchestra decided, shortly before January 1, 1955, to entrust (委托) Willi Boskovsky with the artistic direction of the New Year’s Concerts.

Street seats are available for a fee but there are also plenty of free viewing areas along the route. 15-19 March: Las Fallas Festival, valencia
