Last Sunday, my friend and I go to a newly-opened supermarket and each of us bought a notebook for our English learning. After that, we went to a restaurant nearby to having lunch. It was Grandpa’s 70th birthday. Early in the morning, I wake up excited. After getting dressed quickly, I headed downstairs and found Mum and Dad were already there busily prepared lunch. I checked the gift special made for Grandpa, a video of his life story. Just before lunchtime, there came some guests, which turned out to be Grandpa’s best friends from secondary school, all in seventies. They had a great fun talking to each other. In order to show our deeply love for the motherland, our school hosted a singing competition the day before the National Day. In October 1st, a grand military parade was held at Tiananmen Square to celebrate a 70th birthday of the PRC. Last week, my parents and I attended to a big get-together in a restaurant. The people present were all our old neighbors, that used to live in the same neighborhood. It was our Physics teacher’s birthday yesterday. Though Physics are a hard subject, but I like my Physics teacher a lot, and so do my classmates. It is Mother’s Day today. Though it’s a western festival, it’s popular in China now.
Mom has a full-time job, so she has to do most of the houseworks. She is a great mother. Both Dad or I planned to do something on Mother’s Day. We get up early in the morning. Dad cleaned the house, and then went on shopping. When he came back, I found a bunch of flowers in her hand. I asked Mom to stay in the sitting room and I cooked in kitchen. The dishes what I cooked were Mom’s favoritest. At dinner, we said to her, “Happy Mother’s Day!” Mom was grateful and moving.
