1 . A casual carpool is an interesting concept that has arisen due to the large number of drivers who must commute to distances far from home on a regular basis. Highways are often set up with carpool lanes, which can be used by commuters.     1     Also, many toll bridges do not charge the toll for those who are carpooling.

People often set up Internet sites in order to quickly find a ride to the city they need without any money. Those looking for a ride merely scan the Internet site for their area, and might communicate with a driver the night before. Usually the only thing they need to do is be at a designated location by a certain time.     2

A person can prearrange the casual carpool to be guaranteed a seat, or he or she may have to take his chances by showing up at a casual carpool site. It's often a first-come, first-served deal.     3     Thus the early casual carpooler usually catches the ride if no formal arrangement exists with the driver.

The casual carpool is often regarded as a perfectly safe mode of transportation.     4     First, you don't know your driver and his/her driving abilities. Besides, you could potentially meet a predator.

5     If you're traveling in a car with three people, and one person is taller than you, offer them the front seat. Don't chat about controversial subjects or criticize drivers, and also don't turn on the radio without asking permission.

A.In fact, it is not always the case.
B.There are some rules for a casual carpool rider.
C.These usually make a commute go more quickly.
D.The driver will only take the people who show up first.
E.So the drivers needn't go out of their way to pick up people in diverse areas.
F.Only accept a ride from someone who is known by regular casual carpoolers.
G.There are some drivers who have driven so poorly that you fear for your life.

5 . Getting the Cheapest Flights

After interviewing 10 travel agents in the area, we’ve compiled (汇编) the very best tips for finding the cheapest flights.

Book your flight 21 days before you want to fly. Booking a flight is like playing a game of chicken. Airlines want to get the most money possible for their tickets and have difficult computer programs that adjust their prices automatically. Booking too early, you might miss out on some major deals.    1    The best advice is to book your flight 21 days before your planned departure date to get the best deals.

2    Most airlines update their reservation systems on Tuesday at 7 p.m. GMT. People tend to buy their tickets on weekends, so airlines make changes on one of the slowest days of the week---Tuesday.

Fly on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday are the least busy days at airports, and are also the cheapest days to fly.     3    Friday and Sunday are the peak flying days of the week, and are the worst, and most expensive days to fly.

Book early for international flights.     4    You can also try flying into smaller airports, which sometimes have better deals.

Eat your cookies(网络标记). Delete your Internet browser cookies if you’ve visited an airline site within the last 30 days.     5

Compare prices. Use travel search engines, in addition to airline websites, to make sure you're getting the best deal possible.

A.Collect it one day ahead.
B.Tuesday is the best day of the week.
C.Pay in cash when you receive your ticket.
