Low-Hanging Fruit

If you are the first person to arrive at an apple tree during harvest time, you can easily find some low-hanging fruit. These are the apples that     1     (be) on the branches closest to the ground. Low-hanging fruit describes the most obvious or     2     (easy) things to do to help you reach a goal. Anyone or anything     3     can be won over or gained very easily is low-hanging fruit. Here is an example: “Changing the company logo is low-hanging fruit. It won’t cost much, and I can do it in an hour.”

There are many things we can do to become better learners. We all have two voices. Our inner voice tells us    1     personal opinions and our outer voice deals with others' opinions and things we have heard. If we listen to our inner voice too much, it can     2     block us from learning. If your inner voice is difficult to control, you can     3     disagree with it. One of the best ways to promote active learning is to ask questions. This helps you     4     gain more knowledge about a topic.     5     In a word, we should never stop being curious, Active learners also    6     try to question the world around them and understand the truth     7     deep within every idea. Finally, as active learners, we should never form opinions about people     8     on the basis of first impressions.
