The history of painting in China is long or full of masterpieces from different ages when have their own unique styles.
Truly artistic paintings other than calligraphy (书法) came into exist during the Qin Dynasty and matured in the Wei and Jin periods. An art continued to advance during the Song and Yuan Dynasties with an increased focus such subjects as mountains and animals. Traditional painting techniques lasted until the end of the Qing Dynasty, when modern painting techniques started off to challenge the traditional one. Although modern paintings had been heavily influenced by the West, they still value traditional painting techniques.

Thanks for Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, the tea has earned a high reputation. The story went that Emperor Qianlong was visited the mountain during his Hangzhou travels, and he saw some ladies picking the tea at the foot of the mountain. He was very interested in their movements that he decided to have a go himself. While picked the tea, he received the news of his mother’s illness, so he carelessly puts the leaves in his sleeve and left Hangzhou for Beijing. He visited his mother immediately upon his arrival in Beijing. His mother smelt the fragrance of the tea leaves from his sleeves and wanted to have taste. After drinking cup of tea, she found herself completely refreshing, and she even praised it as cure for all illnesses. From now on, the tea was listed as the tribute tea (贡茶).

That is amazing about the Great Wall is that it is main made of stones and bricks, and all the construction was done by hand. Though it was used to protect the country from foreign invaders, every few hundred meters along with the Great Wall, there was a watchtower. Now, as symbol of China, the Great Wall will become one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world. It is no wonderful that the Great Wall attract hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists every year.
