There was a fruit truck sell fruits in the parking lot of Walmart yesterday. My mom took a big box and it has 6 mini baskets of strawberries in it.
She knew we could not finish them all before they went badly. So today she asked my dad give some to our neighbors. He initially resisted and he did eventually go to three of our neighbors and gave each one a basket. On returning back to home, he told me which he said to them, which surprised me! “Hi, my family and I are going around spreading loves to the neighborhood by giving out baskets of strawberries. Would you like any?”
We gratefully accepted. That was an sweet interaction.

It is Mother’s Day today. Though it’s a western festival, it’s popular in China now. Mom has a full-time job, so she has to do most of the houseworks. She is a great mother. Both dad and I planned do something on Mother’s Day. We get up early in the morning. Dad thorough cleaned the house, and then went on shopping. When she came back, I found an bunch of flowers in his hand. I asked Mom to stay in the sitting room and I cooked in the kitchen. The dishes what I cooked were Mom’s favorites. At dinner, we said to her, “Happy Mother’s Day!” Mom was grateful and moving.

When I first reached junior high school without my parents, I was very happy. Then I saw them getting further away from school gate. I started crying because of the thought of not often seeing my parents drove me crazily, I was then taken to my dorm in that I found other children very happy. Shortly after when I moved to a new neighborhood, my African gray parrot accidentally fly out of the door. Panicked, I ran after him. One of the new word the parrot had learned recently was coffee, and her nickname was Small. As a result, I was running around yelled “Small! Coffee!” at the trees like a madwoman, hoping for him give a response. Finally, the neighbor cautiously approached me with a steaming cup on hand. She said, “Maybe you should relax. By the way, there has no coffee shop here, honey.” Fortunate, I got my parrot back later that day.

Yesterday I was gone home by the bus and my father was going to pick me up at the station. On the bus, I see a young woman with several bags of heavier books get on. I wanted to offer her my seat, and I didn’t. In my surprise, she and I got off at the same stations later. After a short conversation, I learned she had to walk a long way home. So I offered give her a ride and she accepted. When thinking of this experience, I was sad that she didn’t do the right thing the first time on the bus. But I was very happy to have a second chance to doing it.
