My 4-year-old son Sandy happened find a toy panda. He held onto it all day but took it to bed with him at night. Later, I run across a community post from a mum urgent looking for a lost panda—her son’s favorite. I messaged that we had one that evening. She was so relieving! In the morning, I had to break the news to Sandy which another little boy was missing his favorite toy. Tear streaming down his face, he gave me the panda. The little treasure was returned back to its rightful owner. This morning, I found a dropped-off card and new panda for Sandy—as the big thank you for him! Thank you so much, lovely neighbors!

Yesterday I read a story about a group of explorer who got lost in a desert. The sun was burning hot and everyone quickly ran out water. Later, the group’s leader took out the water bottle and said, “I found a bottle of water in my bag. But until we pass through the desert, anybody is allowed to drink it.” The bottle was passing around the members of the team; it felt heavier. Finally, the explorers made it out of the desert. With tears of joy run down their faces, they had opened the bottle, but out poured sand. Was it a bottle of sand which really saved them in the desert? The answer was no. Their deep faith in the hope of survival, like a seed, had taken root and grown in their hearts. That was how led them out of the terrible situation in the end.

On the Monday morning, I was on my way to school when suddenly I saw a boy knock down by a car. In a hurry, I ran over and found the boy was serious hurt with much blood on his face. Immediately, I called an ambulance and the boy is taken to the nearest hospital. For my relief, the boy was fine and would recover in a few day. I went away without giving my name. I was late for class, and I felt happy for all which I had done. As a proverb says, “ Help others is the source of happiness.” I think our duty to make the world a better place to live in.

I grew up in a small town there the elementary school was a ten-minute walk from my house and in an age when children could go home for lunch and found their mothers waiting. I took for granted that mothers were the sandwich-makers or the homework monitors. I never questioned if this intelligent woman, who had had a job before I was born, would eventually return again to work. I only knew that when the noon bell rings, I would race breathless home. My mother would be standing at the top of the stair, smiling at me in a look that suggested I was the only important thing she had on her mind. For this, I am forever grateful.

When I was young, my family live near a small airport. They were buses that took travelers from the main terminal to their boarding gates. The buses were free of charge and ran back and forth all day long. Not much people considered them fun, except for me. My father and I used to ride it when he didn’t need to work. We would guess when the travelers came from and was going. We enjoyed each other’s company, talk and laughing happily all way. Though the ride didn’t cost a cent, it is one of the most treasuring memory which I have.

I was sitting on a train to Shenzhen on the other day. During the journey the middle-aged man suddenly threw up, making those around him extreme upset. The lovely young lady (Miya) sitting near me stepped forward but started talking to him to make sure he was all right. They talked for about 10 minutes, during that time Miya showed such great cares towards that complete stranger. She calms him down and helped him come to the decision seek assistance. Admittedly, she impressed those of us sitting nearby with her good. Thank you and well done for win at being an awesome human being!

One afternoon, I didn't leave a classroom after school. I didn't know why. I just couldn't be happy. I felt such awful that I couldn't help sobbing. I thought no one would notice myself. Then, my English teacher came in but comforted me gently. “Try to be positive every day. Learning to relax and smile,” she said.
