Montana firefighter Ryan Benton recently showed a very different side of his profession when he was photographed calmly reading to a young girl after a car crash. The picture is particularly     1     (attract) as it shows a strong contrast to what we might expect from a frightening scene like that: a moment of calm.

The picture     2     (take) by a fellow firefighter,     3     also posted it on the Billings Fire Fighters Instagram page. While Benton avoided     4     (make) comments about the photo, fellow firefighter Cameron Abell told the Epoch Times about     5     touching scene, “That firefighter, Ryan, that day     6     (arrive) there to clean up the car accident, and he offered to take the time to make those kids feel clam. In fact, Ryan has devoted     7     (he) to doing that for years. ”

Due to a medical error, 44-year-old Safiya became blind. She felt    1    （help）. And all she had to depend    2     was her husband Meraj. Meraj wanted to help Safiya gain her confidence again.

Finally, Safiya felt ready to return to her job,    3    now would she get there? She used to take the bus, but now too frightened to get around the city by herself. Meraj promised    4    （ride）the bus with her.

On Friday morning, Safiya took the bus to work as usual. When she got off the bus, the driver said; "Lady, I sure envy you. When Jenny asks whether he is stupid or something, he only answers that stupid is as stupid does. From that day on, they are like peas and carrots.

Mother’s story

When you came to this world, she held you in her arms and thought to herself that she would give you all     1     she had. When you were 1 year old, she was busy doing housework. Then the moment came     2    you called her Mama for the first time, and you made her cry with joy. When you were 2 years old, she stood by the side of your little bed     3    you were sleeping, singing songs softly. When you were 4 years old, she gave you some crayons with     4    you can draw pictures. But instead, you coloured your dining room with them. When you were 6 years old, she walked you to school and left you at a school     5    was the best in your neighbourhood. When you were 12 years old, she warned you not to watch those meaningless TV shows, but you didn’t understand the reason     6    she did so and closed your door in her face. When you were 18 years old, she drove you to the railway station, but you got on the train excitedly, and didn’t even notice the woman behind you     7    eyes were filled with tears. When you were 40 years old, she fell ill and needed your care, but you were busy with your work, complaining about the burden     8    parents had added to their children. And one day, she left you forever. Gone are the days     9    she was with you. The only thing     10    you can do is to remember the happiness she brought to you.
