5 . One night, security guard Aina found a wallet that had been left behind in a customer's cart at the grocery store where he works.
Instead of leaving it in the lost and found, the 22-year-old sent the wallet to the total stranger at her home! While that is impressive in and of itself, what's even more amazing is that he had to ride over 3 miles on his bike to get there because he doesn't have a car.
Aina was able to return the wallet to Chloe, who had forgotten the important item while trying to load her baby and groceries into the car. She couldn't believe Aina's thoughtfulness, so after he left their home, Chloe's husband, Gray, took to Facebook to give the security guard some praise.
“He rode his bicycle to return her wallet. Completely full of everything important to her including cash. Nothing was so much as moved,” Gray explained. “Words cannot do this gentleman justice. He truly is what is right in this world.” From there, the power of social media took over! Gray's post spread quickly for all the right reasons, which gave his business partner, Greg Gaudet, the idea to start a GoFundMe to buy Aina a new car! In just two weeks, they had raised over $25,000—enough to buy Aina a 2017 VW Jetta and cover his insurance and gas costs for six to 12 months!
Aina was completely blown away by the surprise! After all, this was never what he intended when he rode so far to return Chloe's wallet. “I lost stuff before too,” he said. “I would greatly want someone to come forward and do the same if I lost something.”

I was in a rush as always, but this time it was for an important date I just couldn't be late for! I found myself at a checkout counter behind an elderly woman seemingly in no hurry as she paid for her groceries. A PhD student with not a lot of money, I had hurried into the store to pick up some flowers. I was in a huge rush, thinking of my upcoming evening. I did not want to be late for this date.
We were in Boston, a place not always known for small conversation between strangers. The woman stopped unloading her basket and looked up at me. She smiled. It was a nice smile—warm and reassuring(安慰的)-and I returned her gift by smiling back.
''Must be a special lady, whoever it is that will be getting those beautiful flowers," she said.
''Yes, she's special," I said, and then to my embarrassment, the words kept coming out. ''It's only our second date, but somehow I am just having the feeling she's the one'' jokingly, I added, ''The only problem is that I can't figure out why she'd want to date a guy like me. ''
''Well, I think she's very lucky to have a boyfriend who brings her such lovely flowers and who is obviously in love with her," the woman said. ''My husband used to bring me flowers every week-even when times were tough and we didn't have much money. Those were incredible (难以置信的)days; he was very romantic and-of course-I miss him since he's passed away. ''
Para. 1 There was no doubt in my mind as I walked up to her.

Para. 2 It took her a moment to realize that I was giving her the flowers I had just purchased.

7 . When I was nine years old, I never dreamed that the small vending machine (自动售货机) I had owned would turn me into a small business owner. Wanting to inspire his daughter’s business sense, my dad brought home a vending machine he had purchased from a friend. Setting it down in front of me in our living room, he asked in all seriousness, “Do you want to start a business?” I said yes.
I owned 15 vending machines by the time I left high school, with all of the profits going toward my college fund. In addition to being a great bonding experience for my family, I couldn't tell you how many skills I learned from starting and developing my own business that helped me gain responsibility. I learned that not every experience in life led to the comforting encouragement: Well, you were tried. You should face bravely all kinds of difficulties.
Understanding both personal and professional finances is one of the most important life lessons to learn—the earlier, the better. I had to be fearless and confident—learning these skills at a young age saved me from speaking with difficulty through presentations later in life. Truly understanding what you're selling displays confidence and reliability, as does truly believing in it. Comprehending the ins and outs of your product and business shines through when speaking with clients though rejection happens all the time.
Throughout the unbelievable experience of running my own business in my childhood, I've learned valuable skills that help me in my school, job and personal life. I believe in the value of customer service. I go after clients and opportunities and understand that sometimes things don't go my way. With the help of my parents and customers who supported me, I grew up as a young entrepreneur with skills to keep for the rest of my life.

Last summer, my son worked hard to earn enough money to buy him a new racingbicycle instead of asking for money from me. I loved my son so very much that I bought him a pair of sunglasses and gloves.
On November 10th, my birthday, I found the beautiful guitar on the table, beside that was a card, saying, “Happy birthday to my wonderful mother.” I was surprising and tears streamed down my face. I remembered once I joke to my family that I wanted to learn how to play guitar to make my life wonderful. I had forgotten it, and my son remembered. He took it serious, and bought me one as a birthday gift. After wondering how my son could buy the expensive gifts, I realized that my son had sold his racingbicycle to get me the guitar.

10 . The second-hand car that I bought just three months ago wouldn’t start the other day. The factory battery that came along with it showed that it had worked long enough to “face death”. My kind-hearted neighbor gave it a try, but the battery wouldn’t hold the charge. After giving another try, I headed to the local car store to buy a new one. Fixing it was more difficult than we thought, so I took it to a local repairman who finally got the new battery in and the car started running once again.
Driving it this morning, though, I noticed that the time on the screen had suddenly gone back to nine years, resetting to the date of the first time when it was started. While my son smartly found out how to program it back to today, I thought about how I had wished I could turn back time and make up for some of the errors I had made and the missteps I had taken in my own life during my boyhood time.
How many of us wish that we could go back to a certain time and change things? Like most middle-aged fathers, I have ever wished that. Yet, when I look back on my life today, I think that I won’t change anything. Every choice I have made, every step I have taken, and every road I have taken has led me to where I am now. Many of my choices have brought me pain in the past, but they have also guided me in the present. I won’t want to change things as they will change me. All that I have learned comes from the roads I have taken.
When you look at your own life, you can remember your past sadness, bout don’t regret the roads you took. Instead, celebrate the path you are on. Keep your feet moving forward.
