When our high teacher first introduced volunteering to us, I got inspired and applied immediately. Soon, I was so fortunate that I     1     (accept) to be a volunteer at a local hospital.

I woke up early in the morning and entered the hospital with     2     (excite). I was put in charge of a post     3     (design) for people to buy medicine and instantly pay their hospital bills.

During the work I seldom spotted a smile. It was very disappointing,     4     I tried to understand it. They were just worn-out. I focused on my work,     5     (provide) people with help --- especially the older ones not used to advanced technology. I remember that     6     the biggest smile I offered to help a granny. Teary-eyed, she said my     7     (friend) smile lit up the hospital and gave her a ray of hope.

Deeply touched, I realize we     8     (ignore) much for a long time. The things we pay even     9     (little) attention to in life are those that are free, like care and just a simple smile, because an unintended smile is actually     10     big deal to others and can warm up their whole world.
