Leaders In Training (L. I. T. Program) (Ages 14—15)Our L. I. T. program is a part of our Teen Adventure Camp program and is a transitional (过渡的) program for campers to become staff members. It is a program that is highly selective and competitive. This program allows campers ages 14 and 15 to see what being a part of the Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp family is like.
How does my camper become involved?★ The camper must attend a previous week of Teen Adventure Camp within the same summer.
★ Have to be 14 or 15 years old during their week of camp to qualify.
★ The camper should express interest in the L. I. T. program during their Teen Adventure Week and receive a recommendation for the program from their counselor (辅导员)!
★ Good performance during Teen Adventure Week.
How to confirm availability (有空) & acceptance?
At the end of the camper’s Teen Adventure Camp session, the campers who are accepted into the program will receive an official invitation based on their counselor’s opinion. From there, the parent of the camper must confirm the camper’s availability as soon as possible. There are limited spots which are on a first-come-first-served basis only. Parents can confirm in person at Check Out, by phone (419-938-3715), or by email (info@phoc.org). We will make sure to add L. I. T. week to the camper’s online registration.

The Brooklyn-based Omnium Circus company, which prides itself in inclusivity and accessibility for both audience and performers, kicks off a two-week run of its latest show this weekend in Times Square.
“I’m Possible” lives up to its goal to make the Big Top experience accessible to audiences of all abilities with a 90-minute show featuring a gymnast who uses a wheelchair, an tennis player born without legs, and a deaf storyteller.

Waters Orchard (果园) |Gaithersburg, MDThis is a great place for apple picking. Just come in late summer and fall. After parking, it’s a 5-10 minutes’ walk to the orchard. Hours are12:00 — 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, and 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Pick-your-own (PYO) pricing is by the peck (配克) — $15/half peck, $22/peck, and an entry fee for two is included. It’s $5/guest after that.
Homestead Farm | Poolesville, MDHomestead Farm no longer grows strawberries. Its first crop will be tart cherries in June, and other berries will be ripe soon after. Peaches and apples come later. There are also animals to visit (goats, pigs, and chickens), and watching goats climb along the goat walk is always a trip for kids. The farm operates seven days a week, and PYO hours are 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m..
Hollin Farms | Delaplane, VAHollin Farms’ strawberry picking season will begin in late May and last several weeks. Hours are 9:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday. If you come in summer, peaches, blackberries, red raspberries and sour cherries are available. Apples are ready in late summer, and fall brings green vegetables, potatoes, and dig-your-own peanuts. And a special P.S. (备注) to meat lovers: they pride themselves on their grass-fed beef.
Great Country Farms | Bluemont, VAGreat Country Farms is well-known for its seasonal festivals and fun farm-themed attractions. Their U-pick strawberry fields will open in May. 5K to take off from Nationwide ArenaIf you’re a fast runner, you’ll want to take part in the 5th Line 5K organised by OhioHealth, which will begin at 10 a. m. Sunday outside of Nationwide Arena. Looking for an online forensics program? National Online Forensis serves elementary to college students. They have summer programs mainly geared towards kids with some previous experience. Kids can receive one on one coaching, listen to lectures, and participate in labs from Monday to Thursday in preparation for a tournament on Friday. On Friday, they will join an online tournament with judges and awards for the top performances. National Forensis holds events throughout the year for different age groups and levels. They make it possible for kids to compete nationally without the expense of traveling. There is a limit for each session to 15 students that are overseen by 2 lab instructors.
Stockton University CSI Summer Camp
This five-day CSI camp gives teens a chance to solve a murder mystery from start to finish. They search for evidence at the scene of the “crime”, interview witnesses, and prepare and try a case. Students will work alongside university professors and police and take field trips to an autopsy room, county jail, and more. They stay on the Stockton University campus, which is located in Stockton, New Jersey. All costs are covered by the registration fee and students from all over the country are welcome to attend. Pick-up is available from the airport. They get insights into everything it takes to solve a case and see if this is the right career path for them.
