Summer Study Programme: Kids need to keep a reading record to keep track of the number of pages read through August 16 at 8:00 pm. The student with the highest page count will take home a $50 gift card for the Flying Pig Bookstore.
Musical Story Time: Get ready for a guitar concert at 10:30 am on July 7. Music teacher Sue Rule leads a morning of music and stories with the guitar concert. For ages 3 and up. Guitars are provided.

Something in the Water, USA
This festival is organised by Pharrell Williams and around 50,000 visitors enjoyed the event this year. Situated in southeastern Santorini, this unique black beach boasts crystal clear waters and the rocky Mesa Vouno mountain. For more active pursuits beyond sunbathing and swimming, visitors can rent water sports equipment for other fun activities like diving. 8 . A great family day out doesn’t have to be expensive. Sometimes just going for a walk can be fun, educational, and a chance to make special memories together and share some quality time. Here are a few of our family-friendly favorites.
Blickling Estate, Norfolk
This four-mile multi-use path has a surface that’s great for pushchairs. If you’re out for a family walk and the kids won’t leave the house without their pushchairs, then this is perfect for them. Please bear in mind that you’ll need to book a ticket before visiting.
Coughton Court family walk, Warwickshire
Get your boots on and go for a gentle walk at Coughton Court. This walk will take you across a field with grass and flowers. You’ll need to book a ticket before visiting, though.
Corfe Common history walk
A gentle walk exploring historic Corfe Castle. The kids will love checking out the castle ruins. Don’t forget to book a ticket before visiting.
Crom wildlife walk
This walk through the nature reserve at Crom, Northern Ireland is filled with wildlife. You could also come across one of the oldest yew trees in Ireland. This easy walk is great for all the family to get some fresh air. Booking a ticket before visiting is a must.
Sutton Hoo, Suffolk
This is a great walk for little legs. This beautiful area is home to one of the greatest archaeological (考古学的) discoveries of all time. Even though no tours or guides are currently offered, you can still walk around the ancient places. Tickets are required before visiting.

9 . Creating a Graphic Novel
In the past decade we’ve seen the rise of graphic novels that come in all sorts of forms. Now join author and illustrator Lizzy Stewart for our upcoming masterclass, where she’ll take you through how to create both the illustration and text for a graphic novel. You’ll have the chance to find the right form for the story you are trying to tell, and Lizzy will share her insight into the editorial and publishing process of getting a graphic novel printed. 15 minutes will be reserved for a Q&A session at the end of the masterclass, when Lizzy will answer what you’re curious to know.

Kitzbuhel, Austria
The most prized downhill on the ski racing calendar, Kitzbuhel also attracts a host of festive fans with its fairy lights, and performances of jazz bands. By day, you can enjoy 230 kilometers of runs over the Kitzbtihel Alps, and fill up on hearty Tyrolean classic foods.
Val Gardena, Italy
This attractive valley is a New Year present waiting to be unwrapped. The three towns that make up Val Gardena—busy Ortisei, peaceful Santa Cristina and the higher Selva—traditionally go big on the festive season, combining their Italian, Austrian and Ladin heritage. The 175-kilometer skiing takes place below the towering Sassolungo mountain.
Alpbach, Austria
Alpbach is often considered Austria’s prettiest village. Low at 1,00 meters, it may not always have snow on the ground. There are 91 kilometers of runs stretching up to 2,025 meters with a beautiful spread of mountain huts.
