About Our Camps

Kings Camps is part of the Kings Active Foundation and is devoted to helping young people reach their potential. We provide sports camps and summer camps at over 40 places across the UK for children aged 4-17. We bring together the very best parts of sports and holiday clubs to provide friendship, fun and exciting adventures for young people from the UK and around the world.

※Creative, inspiring camps: We have a strong belief that sport has an important role to play in a happy childhood and our not-for-money state enables us to provide some places and invest in new and creative ways to inspire.

※Learn important life skills: Kings Camps prepare children with important life skills and an understanding that being active is important to health and well-being.

※International students are welcome: We welcome children from outside of the UK who will make friends here by communicating with kids from different backgrounds, but we do require that they at least understand English to make sure of their safety and that of others, and of course their enjoyment.

2 . No matter how much experience you have, it's always a good idea for everyone to review boating safety rules before departures. Below are basic boating safety tips for you to stay safe.

Be weather-wise.

Always check local weather conditions before departure.     1     If you notice darkening clouds and rough changing winds or sudden drops in temperature, play it safe by getting off the water.

Follow a pre-departure checklist.

    2     Following a pre-departure checklist is the best way to make sure no boating safety rules or precautions have been overlooked or forgotten.

Use common sense.

One of the most important parts of boating safety is to use your common sense.     3     You should operate at a safe speed at all times(especially in crowded areas), stay cautious at all times and steer clear of large vessels and watercraft that can be restricted in their ability to stop or turn. Also, be respectful of buoys and other navigational aids, all of which have been placed there to ensure your own safety.

Make sure more than one person on board is familiar with all aspects of your boat's handling, operations, and general boating safety. If the primary navigator is injured in any way, it's important to make sure someone else can follow the proper boating safety rules to get everyone else back to shore.

Develop a float plan.

Whether you choose to inform a family member or staff at your local marina, always be sure to let someone else know your float plan.     5

During the winter vacation I went on a trip, that was wonderful because I tried something I have never experienced before. One morning when we were walking along the beach,enjoyed sunshine, someone strongly advised that we went water skiing. However, I didn't dare to face the challenge because that seemed dangerous to do it. My friends all encouraged me, so I finally joined in them. At last, I couldn't stop screaming in fright. Later I felt that it was an amazement filling with fun. From an experience I learned that we should be brave enough to try something new. Only in this way we find a better self to meet any challenge.

4 . Pali Overnight Adventures offers children and teens exciting experiences this summer. From broadcasting to street art, these are just 4 of the 17 highly unique camps being offered.

Broadcasting Camp

Become the next star reporter, news writer, director or producer. While running every aspect of our own news station, kids and their fellow campers will create and host a broadcast airing each night at dinner for the entire camp. Every night it goes on the web, keeping parents and the world informed of the happenings at Pali.

Secret Agent Camp

In the movie Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise made being a secret agent seem like the coolest job ever. Campers who sign up for the 2-week secret agent camp can get to know about the life of real secret agents by learning strategies and military skills on the paintball field.

Culinary Camp

If your child enjoys being in the kitchen, then the culinary camp is definitely the right fit. Campers learn technical skills of roasting, frying and cutting, as well as some recipes that they can take home and share with their families.

Street Art Camp

This camp takes creative license to an entirely new level. Campers will share their colorful ideas and imagination with each other and work together to visualize, sketch and paint with non-traditional techniques to create the coolest mural which will be displayed in public for all to see.

5 . Four workshops in America

These workshops are places where creative kids can design, develop, code, and construct whatever springs from their imagination. Here's the shortlist of best workshops for kids.

The Crucible, Oakland, California

The Crucible has regular, highly supervised(监督) classes, camps, and after-school programs for kids aged 8 to 17. They're doing something interesting. Students here will learn the details of construction, welding(焊接), pottery … glass blowing!

Sector67, Madison, Wisconsin

For the future scientist in your family, Sector67 goes deep with programs for kids aged 6 to 12 in programming, chemistry and electronics. A kitchen chemistry class offers lessons in how to make your own soda(汽水), another has kids building their own flashlights, and yet another has them decorating mini Christmas trees with voice-activated LED lighting.

FamiLAB, Longwood, Florida

It focuses more on state-of-the-art digital programs including coding fundamentals, 3D printing, and battling robots. It is just a bit outside the House of Mouse. Circuitry and welding means it's mostly for kids aged 12 and up who are comfortable with getting singed (燎) here and there. And if you're eyeing that national Maker Faire prize, this would be the place to get ready for it.

Vocademy, Riverside, California

When playtime is over, it's time to find a job. At Vocademy, high school students get practical training in trade skills related to construction, electronics, welding, and programming classes. Middle school students learn to make robots.

I am glad to know that you are coming to China for a visit. I think Beijing will be a great destination for you. In addition the famous Palace Museum and the Great Wall, the city is more like a record of the country' s development through hundred of years. You can get a taste of history walked through Hutongs. Or you can visit the Beijing National Stadium, also known for the Bird’s Nest. The city is sure to leave a deeply impression on you, ancient or modern. Old as the city was, Beijing is now a very tourist- friendly place. You can see and hear in English almost everywhere. Take a taxi or the driver will talk with you in fluent English.
