When reading, I used to skip some parts of a story what were unattractive to me. As a result, I failed to find fun or became impatient. To solve the problem, I forced myself to reading every paragraph with a patience, trying to follow the plot. To my delight, I even finish Jane Eyre smoothly. I could see the world through the eyes of different role in the book. This was great progress to her. Now, I have harvested a lot from reading. It provides me knowledge, and convinces me entire that being alone is not lonely. With books in my hand, I’ve got a colorful world belonged to me.

We’ve all heard of the saying, “Reading good books are like having a conversation with the finest men of the past centuries.” It shows the benefit of reading books. By reading books, we can know which is going on at home and abroad. In fact, reading has many benefits. It can bring us knowledges and pleasure. From reading the number of books, we can get much. Reading books enables us broaden our horizons, enriched our life. We can not only understand how to live in a happy life and learn new ways of doing things. When we faced difficulties, we can solve them peacefully. As someone once put it, “A good book is exact a good friend.”

Last month, I finish reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms writing by Luo Guanzhong. It is a Chinese historical novel based upon the events what happened between the late Eastern Han Dynasty or the Three Kingdoms. It is praised as one of the Four Great Clas-sical Novels of Chinese literature. I’ve learned a lot of from the novel. I really like reading, which can broaden your horizon and make me learn knowledges. A good book is like a wise man, a teacher, a friend and a partner. I do advise chose a good book to read. If everyone does it regular, the history, culture and many other aspects will handed down from generation to generation.

I love reading. I love it so much that no matter where I go, and I will put a book in my bag. And I will take it out and read a couple of page when I am free. However, so a good habit also has its disadvantages. Once my mother had anything urgent to deal with and can’t spare time to cook.
I promised her that I would cook. But thinking it was still earlier, I picked up a book to read. Soon I got lost in the story. Not until my mother came back I realize I forgot to cook the meal. In my relief, she didn’t blame me. She just reminded me to pay attention to protect my eyesight. What the good mother!

With society develops fast, many people think that we must have two friends in our life. One is the library and the another is the playground. If we can make friend with the library, which means we can have enough new books to read. As we know it, information changes so fast and reading can make us wise and intelligent. On other hand, if we have the playground, we can take daily exercise to strengthen our body.
Although I am busy with my study, I still tried to spare some time to read some books and to do some sports every day. After I go to bed, I read some books included literature and news for 15 minutes. And if possible, I sometimes get up 30 minutes early than usual to walk to school instead of taking a bus. Then I can be strong, smart and happy forever.

Reading plays a important part in our life. Just as the old saying goes, books are the stepping stone to human progress. For me, books are like wisely teachers and good friends. They inspire me go forward, and help me understand the world. I was fond of reading. I read various books, of whom literary books are my favorite, especially those by famous writers. They can help improve my written skills and broaden my horizons. Beside, they can enrich my life and provide me for great fun. I believe the more books we read, the more better our life will be.

Last week, I read the book about how successful persons started their careers and succeeded. They met a number of difficulty and problems, such as lacking money and experience and arguing with their co-workers, they were not afraid of restarting again. Though they met many problems, some of that were even bigger than they could imagine, they still insist on what they had believed. They were unbeatable, so they succeeded in eventually. This book impresses me deep. Besides, from them stories, I learn that I should ever give up achieving my dreams no matter what happens. I wish my friends could read the book and get inspiring, too.

Reading is always my favorite thing. Influencing by my parents, I began reading at early age. I love reading books of all kind. Over the years I have got a lot of knowledge from books. Beside, books like Robinson Crusoe gives me courage to overcome difficulties facing me. Reading also relieves me of my lonely. Sometimes I read at home in our spare time. At school I spend time in the reading club exchange ideas with other students. Knowing that what others read is exciting in the club. Nothing gives me much pleasure than reading.

I’m so glad to give my personal opinions on mine favorite newspaper English Monthly set up by the Students’ Union. I’m a high school student which is enthusiastic about reading newspapers and I want to learn anything from them. I think English Monthly had many advantages. For one thing, it’s rich in content, ranges from economy to civilization. For an another, it’s a guide to English learning. Through it, I can have a good command what’s going on at home and abroad and I’ve enriched my English knowledges. My suggestion is that it can introduce more about Chinese traditionally culture in the culture column.
