During the weekend, parents and I paid a visit to Datong City by train. We arrive there at about 9 am. First we went to an ancient temple, in that we saw some impressive Budda statues. It is small but beautiful. So we stayed here for nearly two hours. Then we left for the temple to go downtown. You can’t imagine what crowded the street was! My parents bought some souvenirs in the local market. Meanwhile, I collected some postcard and funny toys. As we know, Datong is famous as its noodles, so we couldn't wait to taste some in a restaurant decorating traditionally. At 5 pm, we came back home happy.

7 . This past October, I took an early morning hike in a Valley. Knowing that bears are _______ throughout the area and not wanting to _______ one, I yelled out, “Hey, bear!” every 30 seconds.

About three miles in, I _______ into a meadow(牧场) and yelled again. A few more steps and I _______ a brown bear on the trail at the upper _______ of the meadow. When she saw me, she ran up the trail. But then she stopped, turned, and _______ straight for me. I yelled so she would know I was human and hopefully turn back. No_______ luck.

I wrapped my arms around the back of my neck for _______. She was on top of me, biting my arms, shoulders, and backpack. The force of each _______ was like a sledgehammer(大锤) with teeth. After what felt like hours, she disappeared.

I like travelling and my dream of visiting Beijing, the capital city of our country, come true during the National Day holidays this year. My mother booked an one-day tour for me. On the morning of October 1st I went to Tian’anmen Square with one of my classmates , there we watched the flag-raising ceremony. As I watched the flag rising slowly, I sang the national anthem, feeling extreme proud. Several hours later, a grand military parade was held mark the People's Republic of China's 70th founding anniversary. In the afternoon we decided to go to other famous tourist attraction, like the Great Wall. When we reached the destination, it was crowded with tourists. I was glad for which those volunteers had done for little kids and elderly people . Standing on the Great wall, we couldn’t help admire the splendid scenery. This travelling, with doubt, meant a lot of to me.
