There is no doubt that cell phones play a important part in our daily life. However, be addicted to cell phones does a lot of harms to the users. First, staring at a cell phone screen for hours can lead to dry eyes or other eye diseases. Second, if you always overuse your cellphone, your head as well as your neck ache, which will have a bad effect to your daily life. There was a lively discussion was held in my class last Friday. It was main about protecting the fine Chinese culture. Some suggest raising people’s awareness of preserving our culture and make people fall in love with it. For example, we could conduct creative activity like discovery tours and culture shows to help people have better understand of our culture. And to my view, which mattered was that everyone should feel proud of our own culture. Beside, we should attempt to pass our fine culture down from generation to generation.

Nowadays, more and more people choose to travel in holidays. There is several reasons for this phenomenon. For one thing, with the develop of economy, more people are able to traveling. For another, people are interesting in different cultures but long to experience different kinds of life. However, some tourists tend to behave bad when traveling. They leave rubbish everywhere, spit in public and jumped the queue. All the bad behavior leaves bad impression. Personally, I suggest each of us should be civilized when traveling. Besides, the government had better to take some measures to prevent the bad behavior in places of interests.
Western holidays such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, are getting more and more popular in China. Some Chinese people even get crazy at them. But at the same time, people seem to have more enthusiasm for our traditional festivals such as the Spring Festival and the Moon Festival. However, most people celebrate western holidays without know the meaning behind them. They just go shopping, held parties and have fun.
In my opinion, the celebration of western holidays is good way of learning about the western cultures, which help to promote understanding and communication between Chinese cultures and other cultures. However, the celebration can make our life more interesting as well as. However, we should make greatly efforts to preserve and enrich their own traditional culture.
Many people have strong view about the use of school uniforms. There are arguments both for or against it. On the one hand, uniforms stop other students judge them on how they look, as everybody will look more or less same. Besides, it saves parents’ money as they don’t have to buy for new school uniforms every year and their children only need clothes on weekends and holidays. On the other hand, though some parents said that wearing uniforms is a way of saving money, other say uniforms are not cheap. Children are constant growing up and need big sizes. In my opinion, wearing uniforms is a good thing because no one stand out and it looks smarter.

It is reported, some needy students receive financial support of some kind people but never express our thanks. Personally, I think they are wrong.
Though the helpers didn’t expect any reward in return, but it’s necessary and good manner to say “thank you”. Besides, it is a basic social skill express ourselves in modern society. Maybe some of them do feel thankfully. It is only because they are afraid of being looked down upon which they remain silent. But I just want to say that being poor for a moment doesn't mean you will be poor forever.
