1 . A British climber who died on the slopes of Mount Everest had warned of the dangers of huge queues for the summit just hours before his death.
Robin Haynes Fisher died after reaching the summit of the world's highest mountain. The deaths have aroused concerns over the large numbers of people scaling Everest, lining up to climb it.
An Instagram posted shortly before Fishers death, revealed his own fears about the situation and how he had changed his plans to try to avoid crowds. In another post, the 14-year-old described having received oxygen training for the so-called ‘death zone’.
“He achieved so much in his short life, climbing Mont Blanc, Aconcagua and Everest, statement from his family said.” He was a ‘tough guy’, triathlete, (三项全能的运动员) and marathoner. A champion for vegetarianism, published author, and a cultured theatre goer, lover of Shakespeare, “We are deeply saddened by his loss as he still had so many more adventures and dreams to fulfil. ”
There are 41 teams with a total of 378 climbers, plus an equal number of Nepalese guides helping them, who are permitted to scale the mountain during the spring climbing season in Nepal that begins around March and ends this month.
Mr Fisher is one of seven climbers to die on the mountain in the past two weeks. His death comes a week after Trinity College professor Seamus (Shay) Lawless, 39, fell during his going down from the peak having achieved a lifetime ambition of reaching the summit. The search for Mr Lawless has been called off. An American climber, Austrian climber and two Indian climbers are also reported to have died.

9 . Two people, including a 9-year-old boy, were injured in a bear attack while hunting in Alaska, authorities said.
The child suffered serious injuries, while a man suffered minor injuries, Alaska State Troopers said.

McDaniel said the last report he received had the child listed in “fair condition.”

One fall evening, 13-year-old Briar Omar agreed to look after his four younger sisters when his parents went to the grocery store to pick up the family dinner. The parents were confident that responsible big brother Briar with their protective dog called Mandy, was capable of managing the family in their absence. During that brief time, an unexpected thing happened: The home suddenly went up in flames(火焰). It was up to Briar and Mandy to save his family.
The children smelled smoke soon after their parents left for the store. They turned around to search for where the fire came from and were shocked and frightened to find their baby sister’s playpen(玩耍护栏) on fire.
The first thought that came to Briar’s mind was to rescue his little sisters. The family had previously discussed what to do in the face of danger, so he was prepared to act.
In a few minutes, flames were climbing the ceiling(天花板). Smoke was filling up the hallways. The horrible fire quickly spread throughout the home.
Briar remained calm and focused on the urgent task of saving his four younger sisters: Peyton, 12, Jocelyn, 3, Willow, 1, and 6-month-old baby Sawyer. He quickly picked up the two babies and rushed the older sisters out of the door to safety. After making sure his sisters were far away from the danger and breathing in fresh air, he ran back to save their home despite the flames surrounding him.
