People are doing bad things to the earth. So more and more of the earth is becoming desert all the time. Scientists are studying to make the deserts into good land again. Usually we breathe without thinking about it. But do you know we can actually change the way we breathe as we like? We breathe in two different ways: chest (胸部) breathing and belly (腹部) breathing. We usually use chest breathing when exercising. So we can see our chest moving upwards (向上) and outwards. If we keep using chest breathing, it can put our body under stress.
Well, what is belly breathing?
When we breathe in, our diaphragm (横隔膜) moves down and air moves into our lungs (肺), which pushes our organs (器官) in the belly down and forces our belly outwards.
A growing number of studies suggest that belly breathing could help to have less stress and pain.
