Moving can be a stressful experience, having to pack all your belongings, but it can get even worse if your homeowner decides to keep your deposit(押金).
Here are some experts’ top tips on how to best clean your house to get your deposit back.
What Should You Clean to Get Your Deposit Back?
●Kitchen
You should completely clean all kitchen equipment, including the oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as kettle.
●Living Room
Remove dust from all surfaces and furniture, including armchairs and sofas. Shelves, cabinets, tables, and chairs also need to be wiped down.
●Bathroom
Housekeepers say that, when it comes to cleaning, the most important areas to focus on are the kitchen and bathrooms.
Remove any stains(污渍), including in the sink, bath, and toilet, and make sure drains and plug holes are free of hair and water can flow easily.
●Bedrooms
You should start by emptying all wardrobes and drawers, making sure they’re clear of debris, and then wipe them down.
●Staircases(楼梯)
Staircases shouldn’t be neglected. It is most likely the first place your homeowner will see when checking out the place, so you want to give a good impression!
How Careful Should You Be When Cleaning?

The word mukbang is from the Korean words “muk-ja” (let’s eat) and “bang- song” (广播). Hosts eat amounts of food in front of a camera while interacting with their audience. The show appeared first in South Korea, where the videos became popular via live stream(直播)channels.
The show comes from South Korea but other countries follow in significantly different ways. Take America as an example, Koreans plan their streams around dinnertime hours so viewers can feel like they are sharing a meal with a friend. And yet Americans tend (倾向于) to be more conversational in their videos which are pre-recorded. Korean mukbangers tend to eat traditional Korean dishes while American mukbangers eat a wider variety of foods.
Why are millions of people so drawn to watching perfect strangers eat in the first place? It’s a combination of sensory, psychological, social, emotional, environmental even neurological factors, says Rachel Herz, a neuroscientist at Brown University Alpert Medical School. She specially explains how food attracts our senses and develops our behavior when it comes to what we like to eat. A big part of that neurological factor is the ASMR (autonomous sensory-motor response), described as a brain feeling which can help people relaxed from the familiar sounds of eating in the mukbang videos.
Earning the popularity and money, more and more mukbangers appear. However, the show has not come without its unfavorable comments. As our habits change, we spend more and more social engagement on social media. It’s only a matter of time before mukbang affects our behavior around food. Viewers could probably develop unhealthy eating habits from watching. Despite the negative comments, mukbang continues to do well on the Internet and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.

Bing Dwen Dwen is a panda with a high sense of science and technology. It captures attention with its full -body“shell”made out of ice . Cao told us that the inspiration(灵感) came from traditional Chinese snack“ice-sugar gourd, ”also known as tanghulu, while the shell also is similar to a space suit — a nod to embracing new technologies for a future of infinite possibilities. Recently, the researchers for underwater exploration introduced a new robot, which is soft and has no harm to sea life when it works. However, they are not so welcome in the robot market because they are quite slow and have a hard time operating through the water. But that may change soon thanks to a self-driven soft robot created by researchers at the University of California.
For their design, the researchers got inspiration from one of nature’s fastest swimmers — squids (乌贼). They can use their strong muscles to draw in water and promptly spread it out. By doing this, they are able to move forward at a fast speed.
The recently-developed robot, which looks like a paper lantern, was basically built using soft materials. An nozzle (喷嘴) fixed on one side helps draw in and release water each time the robot shrinks, which enables it to swim forward, similar to a squid. A plate holds a waterproof part that can house a camera to record data, which is of great value to further development of the robot. It also has its own power source, allowing it to float for a long time.
“Importantly, we recreated all the key features that squids use for high-speed swimming. This is the first robot that can achieve the result by changing its body shape, which improves swimming efficiency (效率) . ” said Professor Michael T .
Though the squid robot has not been tested in open waters, it successfully swam around coral and fish in a large tank. What’s more, the robot had an impressive speed of 18 to 32 centimeters per second, or about half a mile per hour. Though nowhere close to real squids, it is faster than most other soft robots.
12. What do researchers say about the present robot ?A.It is quite popular in the market. | B.It is easy to operate underwater. |
C.It has a bad effect on sea creatures. | D.It needs improving in some ways. |
A.Safely. | B.Quickly. | C.Patiently. | D.Naturally. |
A.Its appearance. | B.Its production. |
C.Its research background. | D.Its working process. |
A.Curious. | B.Negative. | C.Favorable. | D.Doubtful. |
Elements To Impress Your Boss and Advance Your Career
What do leaders look at to judge employees(员工) outside of the work product?
I developed this series because I often get questioned on how to create and have a successful career. There are little things that many people don’t think about.

●What you say and how you say it
Ever heard of putting your foot in your mouth? A time or two may be forgivable.
●How and if you take part in meetings
●How you dress
I know — we are in a world of business casual. But, if you want to be recognized as a professional, I suggest supporting more on the side of business than casual.
A.What time you leave work |
B.Whatever you say is also very important |
C.But if this happens all the time or very often |

A Writing Task
The summer vacation was over, so Tim and his classmates came back to school happily.
On the first day of school, Mrs Green, Tim’s English teacher, gave the class a writing task. “Boys and girls, today’s homework is to write something in some way that is related to your summer vacation, ”she said. “Be as creative as you can. But” the teacher added, “make sure you use proper spelling and grammar. ”
That night, Tim sat at his desk and decided to go about this writing homework. He stared at the blank sheet paper for quite a few minutes, thinking what to write about. To tell the truth, this time, he didn’t want to write about his summer vacation as usual. What could he write about, except a dog, a water park, a visit to his grandma with his father, two weeks of camp, and …?Boring … He’d actually been happy to get back to school. But he made up his mind to write what he really wanted. It was not an essay(短文) at all but a short story, a science fiction(科幻小说). It was about a distant planet that didn’t have summer — it was spring all the time. And it didn’t have vacation either. The aliens(外星人) on the planet worked 24 hours a day. They wished they had vacations one day.
