The Southampton Trail Preservation Society runs many guided trails in the Hamptons, some suitable for even small children.Behind the South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton is a small field that surrounds around it and usually has butterflies and birds flying about.

The east side is flat,making the walk very kid-friendly.The west side is a bit more hilly, but both have spectacular water views of the pond.On the east side is also the rowboat license that opens on Memorial Day and benches,as well as picnic tables.When you're at Blyden-burgh County Park,go in the north entrance off New Mill Road near Route 347,where the main office of the Greenbelt Trail Conference is situated.The office can provide information and maps.The start of the trails also is here.

Hours for pickup

Parking

There is surface parking to the east of the BOK Center, and some surface parking to the west of the Convention Center. Many lots will be pay-lots. Please pay attention to the signs. We suggest arriving early to find parking.

Racing Timing

The 5km run will be timed using the BIB-TAG system. Your race number will have a timing device attached to the back of the race number, don’t remove or bend this device. Simply wear the Bib on the front of your body on the outside of your clothing so it is visible and facing forward. You don’t need to return the Bib, which is disposable.

Come and show off your talents at the Chilton Youth A Cappella Competition!

>October 20th, 11:00 a. m.-17:00p. m.

>Edward Greatcoat Theater, Sealey Road, Chilton

>Rules

Please remember that this is a cappella (清唱)competition!

No instruments or recorded music will be allowed.

Competitors may sing published or original songs in any style.

Competitors must be between 8 and 15 years old.

There are four categories:

(1)Solo(8-11 years old) (2)Solo(12-15 years old)

(2)Group(8-11 years old) (4)Group(12-15 years old)

★Competitors under 12 years old must stay with a parent or other adult at all times.

★Each competitor must pay an entry fee of $10.

★Winners will receive S500 and a course of 20 lessons with famous voice teacher Vickie Leonard.

★Winners will be decided by three judges from the Chilton School of Music. Their decision is final.

>Additional information

★Please arrive at the Edward Greatcoat Theater between 9: 00 a. m. and 10: 00 a. m. to register, as the competition will start at 11: 00 a. m. The parking lot has limited spaces so you are advised to come as early as possible.

★Shared dressing rooms with showers will be open for all competitors.

★Tickets for the competition are available at the theater from October 1st. There is no charge. for these, but again, spaces are limited.

Discovery Hike: In Search of the Great Pumpkin

Fall is pumpkin time. Listen to a pumpkin story and learn how pumpkins grow. Then we will head out on the path in search of a little pumpkin just for you and maybe, just maybe, we will find the great pumpkin along the way. $7 per child.


Harvest Day Camp CAP

Harvest Camp is an opportunity for children aged 5-13 to find the wonder of autumn at Keystone Science School and enjoy all the fun the Halloween season offers. We’ll explore the ways our natural environment has changed from summer to fall. As always, our programming is focused on building skills, knowledge, and confidence. Day Camp $0.00
