Organic farming could help fight world hungry. That’s how researchers reported at a re- cent United Nations conference. How is organic farming different with conventional farming? Conventional farming uses chemicals to grow crops and kill insects, thus to giving a higher crop yield. Therefore, organic farmers don’t use chemicals to, make plants grow faster, which produces more pollution and boosts the health of the environment. This process is considered earth-friendly method of farming. Experts predicted at the conference that the amount of food producing in this way would not fall. More important, a switch to organic farming would mean the hungry could feed them at lower costs.

Many people have noticed that deliver time has shortened in recent years. Technology contributes a lot more to such improvements. When a truck full of parcels arrive at a sorting point, workers first put the parcels in the baskets on the automatic sorting machine where classifies them. Then packages are scanned and automatic sorted according to the receivers addresses. Only 10 workers are needed for a truck of parcels but it can be finished within 30 minutes. Apart from sorting, more unmanned stations have put to use to make pickup faster. Users can locate their parcels using a number texting to them, and a process never requires any staff.

In early January this year, the rate of UFO reports were steady, around three per weeks. When, however, on Monday, January 16, a science fiction film about visitors to outer space was shown on television,there was the immediate increase in reports of sightings from all parts of the States. The commanding officer, Wayne Tyler, who directly responsible for the study all such reports, decided to making his findings known. They wrote an article,which said that all UFO reports could be explained for quite naturally by aircraft movements. Follow this explanation, there was a rapid drop in the number of reported sightings, because the rate remained above the previous level.

Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling the Web Language. The other day our class have a discussion about whether we should welcome the Web Language. Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. In their opinions, it does no good to helping people communicating with each other, nor is it useful for learning English. Beside, it’ll make Chinese less standard, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 60% of our class are fond of it. They think it simple, convenient and helpful in expressing them. Personally, I think it’s not good habit to use the Web Language. It may be popular, and you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

More than one American child dislike getting advice from their family member. They turn to “strangers”. When they need advice, they don’t usually go to people they know. Instead of many of them wrote letters to newspapers and magazines that give advice in many different subjects. Most newspapers regular print letters from readers with problems. Along with letters there are answers. The answers are written by people who are supposing to know how to solve such difficult problems. Some of these writers are doctors, and other are lawyers or educators. So two of the most famous writers of advice are women without special training for this kind of work.

Food is important to us human beings. However, some students are seen wasted food in the canteen these day. And now the situation is getting seriously. Saving food was our duty because food doesn’t come easily. We must respect or save food to show our gratefulness. Meanwhile, if we save food, more people in the poor areas can get food eat, which also helps fight against hunger. I also suggest those which waste food should get punish. Only then will they save food and respect their meals from the bottom of our hearts. As far as I’m concerned, we students should form a good habit of saving food. Let’s take the action now!
