Everyone makes mistakes. Mistakes are an essential part of what makes us humans. They are a crucial step in learning, growing, and improving yourself. Not making mistakes is actually the biggest mistake you can ever make.     1     Below are some ways to help you learn from mistakes.

Take 100% responsibility. After making a mistake, reflect on it.     2     Only accepting responsibility can make learning possible. Therefore, take 100% responsibility, accept the consequences and be part of the solution to the problem. The sooner you accept responsibility, the sooner the problem is identified, and the sooner a resolution will be possible.

Figure out the cause of the mistake.     3     Figuring out the cause will also help you avoid repeating it next time. Determine the specific action that has led to the mistake. Take time to look into the events, see if there are things that need to be improved, and take time to work on them. Make the necessary changes to see the positive results.

4     You cannot change the mistakes that were made in the past, but you can take the lesson learnt and apply it when necessary. Don’t move forward through life being afraid of making mistakes. The moment you see mistakes as lessons rather than mistakes, you will no longer have this crazy scare of meeting them along your journey.

Apologize if necessary. Apologizing for a mistake you have made, which has affected someone, can make a big difference. By apologizing, you are showing bravery.     5

A.Move on fearlessly.
B.You cannot be perfect all the time.
C.So make them, learn from them and grow.
D.Blaming others for your mistakes will do you no good.
E.Making mistakes makes you understand that you are not perfect.
F.Knowing why you made the mistake is the key to learning from it.
G.That’s because it takes courage to stand before someone and admit your mistake.

【推荐2】Summer can be a challenging time to stay motivated, especially when it comes to running.     1     However, a few simple tips can help you stay on track and improve your running, even when the weather is less than ideal. Here are five tips for running in the summer.

Stay hydrated

When it’s hot, your body perspires more and loses essential electrolytes (电解质) like sodium and potassium (钾). To avoid cramps (痉挛), heat exhaustion, and other problems, drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after your run.     2     Thus, you can take a quick break to drink when needed.

Get an early start

While it may be tempting to sleep in when the sun is just starting to rise, getting out the door early can help you beat the heat. By starting your run early,     3     In addition, getting an early start will help you make the most of your day. The heat and humidity during summer can make it difficult to get out the door and even more challenging to stick with your usual pace once you’re on the road. One way to make summer running easier is to focus on cooling down after your workout. A post-run cooldown helps to regulate your body temperature and prevent muscle soreness.

Dress appropriately

As the weather gets warmer, it can be alluring to put on your shorts and tank top and head out for a run. However, it’s essential to dress appropriately for summer running, or you may feel uncomfortable and overheated. One tip is to choose light-colored clothing, as darker colors absorb more heat.     5

【推荐3】How to Teach Your Kids to Enjoy Hiking

Hiking is one of my family’s favorite things to do. Ever since my kids were babies, we’ve been getting out of the house on most weekends to explore and get exercise and fresh air.

A good, long family hike gives us a sense of accomplishment.     1     It brings us closer with shared memories and experiences. And it is also a great way to pass time without spending money.

But how do we do it?     2     They express surprise at my small children’s ability to walk 10-mile trail (崎岖小路) or their willingness to climb 2, 800-foot mountains. Their children don’t even want to walk to school, let alone walk for hours in rough conditions. So what’s the secret?

I’ve put together a list of the things that work. Not every family’s list will look the same, but for anyone starting out hiking with kids, I recommend you to keep these suggestions in mind.

Eat before you leave and carry food. It’s common for us to have a quick bite before we strike out on a trail. I always pack snacks (零食) like nuts, fruit, chocolate, and cookies.     3

Pack lots of water. There is nothing more miserable (痛苦的) than hiking while thirsty. I let my kids drink as much as they want because they can always stop to relieve themselves along the way.

Show kids a route map.     4     Maps are perfect for them to understand that. I always take some time before we leave, to show them where we are, where we’re headed, and what the journey will look like. Point out landmarks that they will see. We talk about how long it will take so they don’t ask me, “Are we there yet?”

5    It’s about steady progress. The last thing you want is a burnt-out child who can barely continue. So set a slow, comfortable pace, and have fun!

A.I’d like to say it is not an easy question.
B.Remember, it’s not about the speed.
C.It creates opportunities for conversation.
D.Give them encouragement along the way.
E.Kids like knowing where they are on the earth.
F.I often get this question from friends and strangers.
G.But these are served at official stops, not just handed out freely.
