Last week, our class was on duty for student self-management. On the first day, I was shocked to see so much leftover food thrown away by students. What a waste! Being concerned about it, my classmates and I had a heated discussion on how to solve the problem. Finally, we all     1    (agree) that the wall newspaper would be the best choice. The next day, we put our idea into reality. Towards lunch time, we put     2    a wall newspaper outside the school cafeteria, calling on students not to waste food. Many students gathered around to read and expressed their support. To my great delight, there were changes soon. In the cafeteria, I found the trays returned after lunch all empty without any leftover. Food    3    (save) and the dining hall was cleaner.

I think it is a big challenge for me to be     1    freshman at senior high school. First, I had to think very     2    (careful) about which courses I wanted     3    (take) and my     4     (advise) recommended that I should sign up     5    advanced literature. However, I hope to be fluent in     6    (China) when I graduate, though it’s difficult. Besides, I had to choose extracurricular     7    (activity), too. Whatever difficulty I met, I wanted to join the school football team and a     8    (voluntary) club. In the end, I know I must work hard and be     9    (responsibility) for a lot by     10    (my) as a senior high school student．

During the past year at high school, I had many experiences     1     were unforgettable. One of them was when our class     2     (prepare) for a group singing competition. In order to win the competition, we went all out for it. During the week before the competition, we practiced     3       (sing) in our free time. Although it was     4     hard job, every participant took it     5     (serious) and did their best. Thanks to our effort, we won the     6       (one) prize. Hearing the     7       (excite) news, we were all wild     8     joy. The moment we got the prize, an old saying hit     9       (me) mind----No pains, no gains. It was hard work, but during the course of preparation, we developed friendship,    10     (confident) as well as understanding.
