People in China have been paying cash for things for thousands of years, long     1     other civilizations. Now, increasingly, they’re paying with their cellphones. Chinese consumers are basically jumping across plastic, and going straight from cash to mobile payments. Chinese spent $5.5 trillion through mobile payment platforms last year, about 50 times     2     amount in the U. S. , according to reports. Nowhere     3     (be) the cashless trend more obvious than in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, which is home to Alibaba, the world’s     4    (large) online shopping platform.
