Pet First Aid

Pet First Aid helps you provide the basic care and attention that your dog might need in a medical emergency. The application shows owners how to treat illnesses with helpful videos, pictures and articles on subjects like cuts, wound treatment and more. A section called Pet Info lets you enter in information about your pets including when they had their last vaccinations (疫苗接种), any medicine they take, or information about any disease or condition your animal suffers from.

Paw Card Pet Tracker

It helps you keep a record of your loved one’s important information. Use it to record your pet’s medical contacts, vaccinations, identity cards, medical conditions and medicines. Additional characteristics include a drawing showing your dog’s weight over time.

Dog Park Finder

Dog Park Finder helps you locate dog friendly parks and training locations in your area (USA locations only). The app includes information on more than 2,200 off-leash (无须拴狗链的) areas, user photos and more than 6,500 reviews, so you can have fun with your dog off the leash.

Dogbook

It is a social networking application for dogs. Users can share with other people what’s going on in their dog’s life, share photos, and find great animal-friendly places to meet up.

When you travel abroad by yourself for whatever reason-an exchange program, an internship（实习期的工作）, volunteering, or simply as a tourist-a new and fascinating world will open up for you, a world you would never be able to see if you just stayed at home.

People from a different country are not aliens. They are simply people like you who happened to be born in another place. They have pretty much the same wishes and worries as people from your own country.

I know that you see a lot of news on TV saying bad things people do all the time. Your family may have spent a great deal of time telling you not to trust strangers. However, when you travel alone you will realize that people are just as good as you. Everyone is just leading their lives, working, studying and having a good time with their friends. Most people will be happy to help you and get to know you.

Maybe in the past when you would need months to travel from one place to another, traveling could be expensive. Nowadays, the world is just so connected that it is perfectly possible to find cheap flights, accommodation for all budgets and cheap and quality food.

You will get lost, but it's fine! I can't even count how many times I didn't know where I was going or how to find the right direction. Everything looks great on Google maps, but sometimes your phone will die or your data will end. Just calm down. Go to a store or stop someone in the street and ask! Or simply walk around and be curious.

【推荐3】With the lure of high salaries and strong job prospects, a lot of students college thinking they will major in engineering. If you think engineering might be a good choice for you, a summer engineering program is a great way to learn more about the field and expand your experiences. Below are some excellent summer engineering programs.

This introductory engineering course for rising juniors and seniors is offered by Johns Hopkins University at several locations across the country. Engineering Innovation teacher critical thinking and applied problem - solving skills for future engineers through lectures, research and projects. If the student achieves an A or B in the program, they will also receive three transferable credits from Johns Hopkins University. The program runs for four or five days a week over four to five weeks, depending on the location. Most locations offer commuter programs only, but the Johns Hopkins Home-wood campus in Baltimore also offers residential option.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers this enrichment program for high school juniors interested in engineering, science and entrepreneurship. Students select five of 14 rigorous academic courses to study over the six weeks of the program, during which time they have several opportunities to network with a diverse group of individuals within the fields of science and engineering. Students also share and celebrate their own cultures. MITES is scholarship - based; those students selected for the program need only provide their own transportation to and from the MIT campus.

Hosted by the University of Michigan, this program is a one - week residential camp for rising high school sophomeres, juniors and seniors interested in engineering. Participants have the opportunity to explore several different areas of engineering during engineering workplace tours, group projects, and presentations by students, faculty and professional engineers. Campers also enjoy recreational events and experience a universtiy residential atmosphere in the University of Michigan dorms.

This residential summer engineering camp for rising high school juniors and seniors is offered by the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering program, headquartered at the University of Illinois. Campers have the chance to interact with engineering students and faculty, visit engineering facilities and research labs at the university, and work together on hands-on engineering projects. Students also participate in traditional camp recreational and social activities. The camp runs for two one-week sessions during June and July.
