Good morning, everyone. I’m your headmaster, Mr.Lee. Welcome to ABC High School. Is your first day as senior high school students, so there are a few things I want you to know.

First I want to say — Congratulations! I know you must have been under great     1     to prepare for the Senior High School Entrance Examination in order to make sure you get a place in our school. You must have been looking     2     to studying here. It turns out that you have made it and I feel really     3     of you.

Next, I want you to know that those who     4     high are more likely to succeed. So every one of you will be given a writing     5     to write something in a way     6     to your dream. Don’t be afraid to write down what you want to do. You are expected to be as much     7     as you can.

Then, the new school is a new society where you will find     8     friends and qualified staff. You are advised to make more attempts to figure out what difference you can make to this society. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes because after you     9     on your failures, a lot of lessons will be learned. And these lessons will also be beneficial to you     10     your adult life．

Finally, I hope that every one of you will be able to enjoy your three years in ABC High School!

After a long summer holiday, my new life at senior high school began at last. I was a little    1    in the morning, worrying that I would not make new friends. I was not outgoing after all However, things turned out to be just fine. Both my teachers and classmates made a good    2    on me. They were friendly and helpful. In fact, one of my classmates was so talkative that he kept talking to me over the experiment! Maybe he was just trying to approach me, but I felt    3    because I couldn’t concentrate. I was too frightened to tell him to leave me alone. It would be    4    if I did so. The classes were much more difficult. There is a lot of for me to    5    . I hope I can fit in soon.
