Mistakes are unavoidable in life. But attitudes towards it may make a difference.

I still remember how my spoken English was improved. In a beginning, I always kept silent in our oral class to avoid make mistakes. Before long my teacher got to know about my situation. He encouraged me to speak out that I thought. Whenever I made mistakes and felt discouraging, my teacher and my classmates would help me figure out how I must have avoided them. I also joined in an English club to get more chances to speak. Practice made prefect. Now I can talk fluent in English.

Just as the saying goes, “Every bean has its black.” Don’t afraid of making mistakes, because success is just waiting for us.

I’m a senior 3 student. The college entrance exam is on the ways and people around us are trying their best to help us in different ways. At school, all the teachers worked very hard, encouraging us to build up our confidence and inspiring us improve our study. Wherever we meet with difficulties, they are ready to come to our help. At home, our parents take good care of us but make sure we are well fed so that we can always be fully of energy.

I’m very grateful for the efforts of our parents and of teachers. I’m determine to try my best to prepare for the exam.   I am sure that with our encouragement and timely help I would be able to achieve my goal and be an useful person of our society in the near future.

The proverbs I like most is “Where there is a will, there is a way”, what tells that we should stick to our dreams. When in Junior Middle School, I was too poor in my studies that I nearly gave up. And my head-teacher was always there. He gives me confidence every time I lost my heart. He encouraged me with the proverb continuous. Thanks to my teacher, all my efforts paying off and finally I became a top student. Nothing is impossible to a will heart. As long as you keep trying, you’ll make.

The final event in the Olympics is the marathon, which is also usually the most exciting. As the leader come into the stadium to run the last few metres of the 42-kilometre race, the crowd rises to its foot to shout and cheer. The marathon had been an Olympic event since the modern games started in 1896. At first the distance was 40 kilometres. In 1908, however, at the London Olympics, it was changed. The marathon is the final Olympic event because it is thought to be hardest. But experts believe that most people—even people who are not particular good at sport—can run a marathon, if they train for it.

In the morning of 15^th, August, about five hundreds teachers and students took part in the annual sports meeting on the playground. The opening ceremony began with the national anthem (国歌) but then an inspired speech was given by the headmaster. When it was over, audience was amazed at the events, like the long-distance running and the relay race. Between the sportsmen, Jack and Henry, who are from Africa, stood out due to his speed. The sports meeting was lasted two days. When interviewing, Alan, a foreign teacher, said, “This is the most exciting sports meeting I have never seen!”

Last Friday afternoon, we had basketball match against Class Three. At the beginning we both tried to show each to be the best player. We just ran around and didn't pass down the ball to others. Soon we fall behind. During the break, our headmaster Mr. Li patient advised us to working together as a team. We followed her advice. In the end we won the game but each of us felt happy.

Through this game, I realize deeply that in a team, we can't achieve success no matter what excellent each one is. The key to success are teamwork.
