I have a muscle disease, so I can’t run or climb stairs as quick as other people. One problem is I don’t look any different with other people. So some children in my primary school laughed when I got out of the breath after running a short way. Now my life is a lot easier at high school because my fellow students had accepted me. I am very busy with no time to feel sorry for me. My dream is to work for a firm that develop computer software. Have a disability does not mean your life is not satisfied. So don’t feel sorry for the disabled and make fun of them.

Six-year-old Ismail Zulfic was born without arms and used to be scary of going into the water after a incident in a pool. So that changed when the little boy met Amel Kapo. He sets up a local swimming club after noticing how disabled kids struggled to swim in pools for lack of special equipments for them. Kapo taught Zulfic swim. Zulfic was able to swim well after a little months of practice. He even won a gold medal in a local swimming competition for disabled people, finish well ahead of other swimmers. This butterfly without wings shows up that desire, will and perseverance are things that real pay off.

Think of all the ways that you use your arms and hands. You use them open doors, carry boxes, climb trees and ride bikes.

Jessica Cox was born without arms, and she didn’t let that stop her from do things. She learned to feed her, paint and play the piano by using her feet.

When she was at school, Jessica watched the other student on the playground. She did not have hands to catch balls with, and she did not have arms to climb with. Jessica imagined herself as a girl of unusual great ability. She would fly over the playground and took her friends into the sky.

Many years late, when Jessica grew up, she did fly. She learned to fly a plane! It was a hard work, but Jessica was patient, confident and brave. She controls the plane with her feet. She made her dream come true.

Li Hua, who is sixteen, a middle school student in Northern China. She is one of the best student in her class and she was won an award for young scientists last year. When sitting in the classroom, she looks just like all his classmates but after class her life is obvious different. She was born without the ability to use her legs but she has no feeling below her waist. She has to use a wheelchair to do everyday things, such as getting dressing, getting out of bed and go to school. So far she had created many programs. And one of which received an award at her provinces science fair.
