Sometimes she thought about death because she was a Muslim girl and so many people in the world hated her and hated her religion.

The hijab not only covers a woman’s face but can also cover their life, their soul. It makes us think that they have a black soul like the _______ of hijab. But we are wrong. Some killers might be Muslim, but we can’t say all Muslims are killers. You can say 2 is a prime（最好的）number but if you say that the prime number is 2 you are wrong. We have a bad guy and a good guy _______ in the world.

I am sure that she is a Muslim girl and a good girl with a beautiful soul. She is human like us. She can feel happy, she can feel hurt, and she _______ when we hurt her and when we hurt someone else. One day she told me her story. Her close friend has stolen her tablet（平板电脑）and she heard it but she didn’t do anything. She just ran away and cried because she didn’t want to hurt her friend, and she didn’t want to hurt anyone in this world.

Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who’ve had the most failures. JK. Rowling’s first Harry Potter book was refused 12 times before it finally came out. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career. But he once said, “I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that’s why I succeed.”

These people succeeded because they understood that you have to let your failures teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently the next time. So if you get into trouble, that doesn’t mean you’re a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to act right. If you get a bad grade, that doesn’t mean you’re stupid, it just means you need to spend more time studying. No one’s born being good at all things. You become good at things through hard work. You don’t hit every note the first time you sing a song. You’ve got to practice.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of strength because it shows you have the courage to admit when you don’t know something, and that then allows you to learn something new. So find an adult that you trust—a parent, a grandparent or a teacher——and ask them to help you stay or track to meet your goals.

Now, your families, your teachers, and I are doing everything we can to make sure you have a good education. But you’ve got to do your part, too. So I expect all of you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So don’t let us down. Don’t let your family down or your country down. Most of all, don’t let yourself down. Make all proud.

In the United States, every high school student gets a locker in the school hallway. They put their books, personal things and sports equipment in it.

However, it seems that lockers aren’t so popular anymore at one US high school. At Stevenson High School in Illinois, students might not use them all year round. Now they store things like books on iPads. The school has a new policy to encourage students to use lockers. Students can decide if they will use lockers or keep things themselves. The school has about 4,500 lockers in different hallways more than its 4,190 students.

In fact, many factors led to the decreased（减少的）usage of lockers. About five years ago, the school started handing out iPads to lighten the loads of student backpacks. Also, some students think it is not convenient to use lockers. The hallways are too crowded to find their own lockers.

Nearly half of the students at the school have applied for lockers this semester. The school is able to give each student a location in the hallway of his or her choice. Some students wanted a locker along their morning way from the parking area. Others wanted it on the way to their practice or rehearsal（排练）so they can put their things away more easily.

The school will end the least popular hallways and remove some lockers there. Meanwhile, more and more lockers appear which are suitable for students to store musical instruments and oversized sports equipment.
