三、阅读理解 添加题型下试题
Dear Motherland,
Happy birthday! You are 71 years old! How wonderful it is!
Over the past 71 years, many great changes have taken place.
Look! Our life has changed a lot! My grandma often tells me that in the past, life was hard. Every person was allowed to buy only 250 grams(克)of meat per month. Today we can buy whatever we want and eat as much meat as we like.
Look! Our cities have changed a lot! We have cleaner rivers, wider roads and clearer skies. We learned in our history classes that in the 1980s, Pudong was full of farm fields. There were few parks or shopping malls at the time. Today, Pudong has the world’s second-tallest building. People also have more ways to spend their weekends. They can go shopping, watch movies with friends or take a walk in a park.
China’s transportation(交通)has also changed greatly. My father remembers that in 1992, he spent 22 hours traveling from Shanghai to Beijing by train. Today the world’s fastest high-speed train rushes between Shanghai and Beijing. A one-way trip takes only four hours and 18 minutes.
The older generations(一代人)worked hard to make these changes happen. The future now lies in the hands of us young people. I believe we can make you stronger!
Best wishes,
A teenager from Shanghai
26. The writer’s grandma thinks the life was easy for her in the past.27. We can eat as much meat as we like today.
28. Pudong was full of factories in the 1980s.
29. People have more ways to spend their weekends now.
30. It takes only four hours and 18 minutes from Shanghai to Beijing by high-speed train now.
Self-disciplined(自律的)people are not all excellent people. But nearly all excellent people are self-disciplined people. Some of them read every day. Some of them never get late. The real difference between an elite(精英)person and an ordinary person is that an elite person can manage his or her time well. That’s where the success comes from. What people call self-management is in fact self-discipline.
One example is staying healthy. Never underestimate(低估)someone who is in good shape. Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight knows that it’s not easy. It’s even harder to avoid putting weight back on. If someone is in good shape, it means that this person is good at managing themselves and their time. Whether it is natural or acquired(后天的), it is a great skill. It also shows that this person is able to keep persevering and can balance long term-goals with short-term goals. So if someone is in good shape, he or she is far more than just healthy.
How can you learn self-management? First of all, set a goal and write down your reasons for wanting to achieve it. Create a list of all the things you need to do to achieve this goal and start to work on them one at a time. With self-discipline, small things in life will no longer trouble you. Only through self-discipline can you truly own your future.
31. Nearly all excellent people are good at ________.A.playing sports | B.self-management | C.loving music | D.learning dancing |
A.He is a person that dislikes sports. | B.He is a person that likes meat. |
C.He is an outgoing person. | D.He is a person that has principles. |
A.坚定不移的 | B.懒惰的 | C.易变的 | D.顽固不化的 |
A.Everyone has own life goal. | B.Managing ourselves is natural not acquired. |
C.Self-discipline can help you truly own your future. | D.We can’t achieve our goals in the future. |
A.How to keep healthy | B.How to learn self-management |
C.How to read books | D.How to achieve own goals |
“Long distance never separates best friends.” It’s easier to make new friends rather than saying goodbye to old ones.
When I was still studying in China, my school held a singing competition. I signed up(报名)because I really loved singing. I sang with a girl named Jenny. She’s one of my best friends.
Unfortunately(不幸地), I was nervous and I forgot the lyrics for a moment while we sang. I was standing onstage(上台), looking pale in the face. We lost the competition. I felt guilty (愧疚的), “There will be another chance.”
After about a week, our school’s art festival began. I decided to take part in it. The first person I thought of to join me was Jenny, although I wasn’t sure if she would want to. But while I was asking other people to join me, she said she would join us as well. We decided to sing the song See You Again at the festival, since it was kind of a goodbye performance before I left for UK.
Finally, the day of the festival arrived. As I walked into class, people started clapping(鼓掌).Someone had written “Sally, Come on!” on the blackboard. My classmates wrote cards to me. After I completed my performance, everyone cheered for me.
It was a really unforgettable and touching afternoon. I want to thank Jenny who didn’t give up on me when I felt sad. I also want to thank my teacher for teaching me. I really want to thank all of my classmates who were with me in my two middle school years.
36. Where did the story take place?A.In China. | B.In the UK. | C.In Japan. | D.In Australia. |

It’s time to say “thank you” to someone who is probably the most important man in your life. The third Sunday in June—which falls on June 16 this year — is Father’s Day.
In the past, women were more likely than men to look after children, as fathers would spend most of their time working.
Father’s Day is a good time to say “thanks” to your father. It’s also a chance for children to make your dad a card, give him a phone call or a gift, or play with him in a park.
A.These little things can show your dad that you care about him and love him deeply. |
B.Dads have some unique (独特的) qualities that make them different from mothers. |
C.But in modern times, mothers have their own jobs. |
D.Dads are usually strict with children. |
E.They set an example for what a man should be like and how women should be treated. |
F.Boys like staying with dads, because they are proud of their dads. |
