Once upon a time, a hippo(河马) lived in a river next to a big tree.

One day, a bird came and nested (筑巢) in the ______. The songs of the bird filled the hippo with so much envy that he couldn’t think of anything else. Every day he would think ______ he wasn’t born to be a bird though the bird told him many times he was so ______ to be so big and such a good ______.

Finally, the hippo ______ that he would come out of the river, climb the tree and start ______. However, when he tried to climb the tree, it was very ______ that the hippo didn’t have wings, nor claws to climb with.

Every boy wants to find treasure. And Tom was no different. One summer day Tom told Huck about his idea.

“Where can we look for treasure?” asked Huck.

“It’s hidden on islands, under dead trees, but mostly under the floors in haunted(闹鬼的) houses.”

“Who hides it?”

“Robbers(劫匪). You can find a box with a hundred dollars in it, or a chest full of diamonds(钻石).”

So, on Saturday afternoon the boys went to look for treasure at the haunted house on Cardiff Hill. It was a quiet and lonely place. And the boys looked at each other in fear. They entered quietly, and explored downstairs. There were cobwebs(蜘蛛网) everywhere and everything was old and broken. Then they threw their tools in a corner and walked upstairs, but there was nothing there. They were just about to go downstairs and start digging when Tom stopped.

“What is it?” whispered Huck, going white with fear.

“Keep still! There’s someone downstairs!”

The boys lay down, looking through the holes in the wooden floor. There were two men downstairs. One was an old Spaniard(西班牙人) in a wide hat. The other was dirty and unpleasant-looking. The boys shook with fear.

Then the Spaniard spoke. It was Indian Joe. Tom and Huck felt even more frightened.

The men sat down on the floor and ate. They then lay down and fell asleep. When the two men woke up, the stranger said, “It’s time for us to move, partner. What will we do with the $650 from the robbery?”

“Let’s keep $30 each and leave the rest here.”

The dirty man went to the fireplace(壁炉) and moved a stone. Then he lifted out a bag full of money and took out some coins.

The two boys forgot all their fears. There was real treasure downstairs.

With the rapid development of wireless technologies, the Fifth Generation (5G) mobile communication system started to come. Although the development of 5G network technology in the international community is still in the research stage, a number of foreign countries and organizations are working on it. China started late in network technologies. In order to catch with the times, China also needs to have its own place in such a competitive environment.

There are some quick changes in China’s telecom space. With the 4G network now widely used, China is now preparing to enter 5G age. China has started research and development on the 5G network and plans to finish the network testing by around 2019.

It’s expected that just one standard will be used globally (全球的) with the 5G technology. “Under the identical standard, different companies can be connected, and form a competitive environment. Therefore, we can make sure that companies can gain reasonable profits (利润), and at the same time provide faster, better, more convenient and cheaper services to people.” Wu Ku, Director of Dept. of Science &Tech., MIIT said.

Wu Hequan from Chinese Academy of Engineering said, “5G will make it possible to connect one million devices to the so-called Internet of Things within one square meter. In the future, it will also be used on high-speed trains moving as fast as 500 kilometers per hour. In the area of the Internet of Vehicles (汽车), it can be used in unmanned vehicles, assisted driving and the management of smart cities.” Wu Hequan believes China’s future Internet will be faster, more intelligent and safer.

Chinese government pays more attention to the development of 5G and in more open to it. With the shared effort of the industry, China will play an increasing important role in the global 5G development.
