The Simpsons are the most popular family in the world. Every week, many people all over the world stay at home to watch them on TV.

This is a cartoon family of five people. All of them have a bad-looking yellow face and two big white eyes. The parents are Marge and Homer. Marge has blue hair. She loves her hair very much. She is always very kind to her family. Homer works in a factory and spends all his free time watching TV and eating donuts (面包圈). He always eats with his mouth open and he is too fat.

Bart is the oldest child. He always gets bad grades. He doesn’t like to do his homework, but he likes playing tricks on his sister Lisa and always makes her unhappy. Lisa is a little younger than Bart and is always the top of the class at school. She is the smartest person in the family. Maggie is the youngest child. Self-love is the most important if you want to find out your full potentials (潜质). Accepting who you are makes you feel that you are good enough.

That you are good enough does not mean you are perfect. No one is perfect. Being good enough means you accept who you are and believe in yourself. Minds of other people make it hard for you to find the good part of yourself. So you need to believe in yourself and don’t care what people think of you. Be sure you’re doing it for yourself, not for someone else. Just try your best to improve yourself. And then you are sure to become the best you can be, or a better yourself.

What should we do when someone doesn’t feel good enough? Here is some advice to help. First, be a good listener. Listening to someone will not only make them feel good, but also make you know better what they are going through. Then you will get the idea of how to make them happy. What’s more, always encourage (鼓励) others. When people talk about their dreams, tell them it’s possible that all dreams can come true. So loving others in this way will make them feel good enough.

Recently, I heard from a boy in his letter. He told me that he had a problem with his father. His father was nice, but very busy. When they sat together, he didn’t know what to talk about with his father. He asked me for help.     72    

My first piece of advice is to tell your father about the problem. But if you are too shy, here are some good ways to start the talks. First, remember that everyone loves to talk about themselves.     73     Then you will learn something about him and have a new topic（话题）to talk about next time.

    74     Ask him about a time when he was worried. You could make him “worried” to any other word—angry, sad or unhappy.

    75     You can find thousands of questions online. If your father asks why you have many questions, tell him your English teacher shared them and you think they are fun and you want to get the answers to them or learn from them.     76

It is expensive to eat out. So Mr. and Mrs. white hardly ever go out to eat. They only eat out on special days. Today is Mrs. White’s 40th birthday. So it is a very special day. Mr. and Mrs. White go to their favorite Chinese restaurant-China House. It is a small restaurant. However, it is quite clean and beautiful. There are about 10 tables in the restaurant. On each table there is a red flower. The whites came here for the first time three years ago. They came to celebrate their friend Robert’s birthday. They fell in love with this small restaurant at that time.

Ben is a waiter here. He works very hard and he enjoys his job. He likes talking with many customers (顾客) like him. The Whites order vegetable soup for their first course. For their main course, they order Beijing Duck. After the main course, they order a fruit salad. Ben brings them their food. They eat slowly and happily, listening to the beautiful music. She is very happy. She thinks that it is not so bad to be 40 years old.
