Last summer, Tina’s parents needed to work in another city for a month. And Tina had to stay ________ Aunt Betsy in California.

Tina never saw Aunt Betsy before, ________ she was a little nervous (紧张的). Aunt Betsy told her the weather in California was ________, so Tina put some shorts and T-shirts in her bag. She also put some books in her bag because she enjoyed reading. Her favorite books were about ________.

When the day came, Aunt Betsy picked up (接) Tina. On the way to Aunt Betsy’s house, Tina saw many horses in the fields (田地). Tina liked ________ very much and she wished she could have a horse some day.

When they ________ Aunt Betsy’s house, Tina saw a big ________ on the wall. It was about a tall brown horse! Aunt Betsy was in the picture, and she was sitting on the horse.

“Do you ________ the horse? Her name is Lucky. Usually, I visit her once a week, every Saturday afternoon for an hour. We can ________ together this weekend.” said Aunt Betsy.

My grandfather had a small farm. He also worked in a factory (工厂).

One autumn, he told his neighbor that he would help him pick his fruits. But after Grandpa picked his own fruits, the factory asked him to work longer hours. He had to leave the farm early in the morning and didn’t get home until the sun went down. It seemed he had no time to help his neighbor.

One night, Grandpa decided that he wouldn’t let his neighbor’s fruits rot (腐烂) on the farm. He decided to help his neighbor anyway.

“When do you think you’ll have time to do it?” asked Grandma. “Besides, it’d be too dark.” “There’s still one more full moon in October. If the weather is clear, I think I can do it,” he said.

So a few days later, after finishing lots of busy work at the factory, Grandpa made his way to the farm. The weather was cold but clear. He worked through the night to keep his word.

Sometimes, when I want to go back on my word, I’d think of my grandfather picking fruits in the light of the full moon.

Do you ever go to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau（青藏高原）? The weather there changes a lot in summer. You can experience （经历）“four seasons” in just one day. What is it like? Let’s take a look.

“Spring” morning

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is very high. In the early morning, it’s cool. After the sun comes out, it becomes warm, like spring. It’s a good time to take a walk.

“Summer” noon

At noon, it’s sunny and hot. You might feel like it’s summer. The sunlight is so strong that you might want to wear a pair of sunglasses. Sometimes, it rains, but the rain doesn’t last （持续）long. If you are lucky enough, you might see rainbows.

“Autumn” afternoon

In the afternoon, the temperature goes down quickly, especially （特别是）after the sun goes down. It’s cool, just like in autumn. People have to put on warm clothes.

“Winter” night

Late in the night, it gets cold, like in winter. People usually sleep with a thick quilt（被子）. The rainy season is from June to September each year. It often rains at night.

Healthy eating doesn’t just mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.

Eat with others.     36     If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.

    37     Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty—sometimes you are just thirsty, and you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.

Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Because you don’t eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get you going.     38    

Eat healthy snacks like fruits, yogurt or cheese.     39     In fact, it’s a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals. But this doesn’t mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal     40     In our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest （消化）most of the food before you rest for the next 8-10 hours.

This happened about two years ago. I went to an art festival in France     54     my friends. The festival would last 5 days.

When we arrived, the weather was great. It was very hot and     55     (sun), so we went to the mountains for       56     (camp). But in the mountains the weather changed quickly.
